I'm glad Lily came to visit her sister and gave her a talking to. Someone needed too. Good for Petunia for being welling to stand to her husband.

Very nice. I like that it's Harry's wedding day. Poor Petunia and all that bitterness and jealousy. It's a shame she couldn't let go of it and/or stand up to Vernon and treat Harry like family.

Yes, it is a pity. So much potential thrown away over pettiness but sometimes that's how we can be. Perhaps she will make the most of fullfilling her sister's wish

I'm shocked and gladdened that Petunia saw fit to go to the wedding for Lily. The woman has a smidgen of heart in her. Lol.

I think that if Lilly could only appear to Petunia that there was someone/something beyond the veil preventing her from going to the wedding. Perhaps she was just a spirit of healing?

Perhaps an agreement with the PTB to let him live his life, or maybe as a mother she wants to heal them both. I don't see Lily as a ghost who can't move on but more of a spirit that comes and goes with permission

YES! YES!! This is wonderful, and I can see the characters responding exactly this way. Best line: Lily would have done better for Dudley than I did for Harry. There’s no question of that. I'm glad Lily is going to the wedding, and perhaps she'll remember that Dudley showed signs of wanting to be better friends with his cousin - that would be nice for Petunia, to have Duddiekins with her when she visits Harry's new family. Thank you for sharing this!!

I always wonder why Lily and James didn't come back to haunt people. I thought ghost came back because they had something left to do or something to that effect. Anyway, I really enjoyed reading your take on this prompt. Nicely done. Tamara
