I am in my 40s and I recently had two books published - Mike and the Deaf Student and Crayons - Color My World. They are both on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
Reviews for Homecoming
I kind of felt like I was reading Harry in a dream sequence (what he wishes would happen with the Dursleys), but I liked it all the same. I really do think that the Dursleys are not all bad, even Uncle Vernon.
This is so beautiful it gave me tears.
Interesting take. It's too bad that Petunia and Vernon didn't change their habits while Harry was a child!
Very well done my dear. This was very touching, I wish it had happened.
Nice closure. I think that's the one thing that JKR missed out on since she did show the Dudley actually did care for Harry and worry about him. Thanks
i really liked this and i kind of don't care if some might consider it ooc because it's what SHOULD happen and i always like to believe the best of people. therefore, i think that dudley saying what he did to harry in book 7 (which was one of my favorite moments) would have had an effect on his parents, at least on his mum, so i could see her unbending. vernon i'm not sure about, but maybe with both his wife and son doing an about face, it would rub off on him. anyway, it made me happy to read it, so thanks!

THank you so much for your review. :)
Nice job. I like the way you tied it all together. Very believable, especially Marge just not understanding the situation.
A bit OOC, but I think it could be plausible of Petunia. I liek the thought that Harry finds a home outside of Hogwarts and the wizarding world.
Well written. But not enough conflict to make it believable. Everything just fell prefectly into place.
would that it happened that way. thanks so much
That was certainly an interesting take on a reunion with Harry's family, though it does seem a bit unbelieveable. Still, it was quite well written and certainly and interesting read. Good job!
nice to see some closure with the Dursleys
Aww, that was lovely...You made me cried at the part when Harry told her who died during the war. I'm such a baby! I still can't get over them dying... *sigh*I expect Harry would say the same what he told Dudley when it was found out that Snape didn't die... heh. *snerk* Everybody deserve a second chance... *nods*Lovely! :)
This is certainly the way it SHOULD have been! Good job.
If only Petunia could have said something in DH. Thanks for giving a snapshot of what could be.
AH, okay. Never saw this coming out like this... Does Harry wake up afterwards and fumble in the bedside table for his glasses?
Nice! The sort of reconciliation and resolution we all probably hoped for.
I really don't think they would all unbend like that, but a lovely thought all the same.
This is very well written but I have a little trouble seeing them have an aboutface like this. Especially Vernon, he didn't seem the type who would change that much. Though, when I read the part with Petunia, I wanted to raise my arm and yell, "YES". lol. I always thought Dudley would come around. I do like the thought though. Tamara
Whle I'm not convinced that anything could make Vernon Dursley 'see the light', I think you did a fine job with the prompt. If I might make one tiny observation, though ... when you have Harry leaving Ginny to go to Aunt Marge's, you said he 'Dusapparated'. I believe that should be 'Disapparated'. I'm sure it's just a typo, but I know I always want someone to point out my boo-boo's, so I hope you'll take this in the spirit in which it was intended.

Oops, thank you. :) And thanks for the review. I will go fix that right now.
Actually, even though this is a different take on the Dursleys, I always hoped that one day they'd treat Harry better. When Dudley shook his hand and "made up" with him in the last book, I was very pleased. So good way to show another side of a normally horrid family. :)

Thank you, SW. I had hoped that everything that had happened would open her eyes. :)
