I am 26 years old, recently married. I absolutely adore the world of Harry Potter, and love fanfics. My favourite pairing is SS/HG.
My husband doesn't understand it, but he accepts it (grudgingly!)

This chapter has left me begging for more! I think you have captured Ron perfectly, as I have always felt that Ron is a very inconsiderate character. I look forward to the next installment.

Thats pretty much how I see him too. He is way too immature for Hermione, and very wrapped up in himself. Thanks for reviewing!
Lovely little story.
Cute story, but the plot lacked development. There was no real reason for Severus and Hermione to get together - not that I'm complaining, mind - it all just happened very quickly. It left me wondering.
Response from Shadow (Author of Picking up the Pieces)
I know. I was writing on a deadline and my muse up and abandoned me! I solemnly swear to do better next time!

Good ending for your story. :) Nice work. I notice it's not marked as completed yet. Might mislead the folks begging for more. Bwahahaha Thanks for posting

I hope in this epilogue they find hermione's parents...a rather short story, but enjoyable!
Response from Shadow (Author of Picking up the Pieces)
The epilogue should be up soon.I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks for the plug! Glad to have been of help (wow!) I have only just caught up with your story again and...woah! They don't muck around! From loathe to love in less time it would take Longbottom to earn a 'Number 5'! But hey, I'm not complaining. I also really like the graded stares idea. Looking forward to the next chapter/s.Cheers.

thanks for your help, it was really great. I know they moved really quickly in this one. I wrote this for the SS/Hg Exchange and had not finished when the deadline was looming over me like Sanpe over a couldron!hope the Epilogue makes up for it.
It WAS pretty fast, and I, too, thought she got sidetracked from finding her folks too easily- that's even stranger than the instant sex. Not meaning to be cruel to you, just my opinion.--
I'm disappointed to see only one more chapter. I was hoping for an exciting search for the 'rents.
Response from Shadow (Author of Picking up the Pieces)
She is not distracted, just temporarily sidetracked.I wrote this for the SS/Hg exchange. I had planned on making this more drwan out and exciting but before I knew it the deadline was there and I did not have a last chapter. I hope the epilogue explains the rest better.
Wow - what an encounter - I love a good smut scene and this one was extremely steamy. When Severus wants something, he sure does declare it - LOL. Loved the chapter.
Response from Shadow (Author of Picking up the Pieces)
Thanks. That was my first attempt at a smutty scene. I just hope it wasn't to over the top.Yip. I think if Severus wants something, he goes for it full force!
I liked the chapter - he gets a look - she gets a look. What a way to set-up sexual tension and make them notice one another. Good work. I was funny - the whole pans falling from the cover.
Response from Shadow (Author of Picking up the Pieces)
Thanks. I'm glad I could make you smile with this chapter.
Hem, hem ( channelling Dolores here), what about her desperate need to find her parents? She got sidetracked rather easily, the naughty, lusty wench!
Response from Shadow (Author of Picking up the Pieces)
She did inded.I wrote this for the SS/HG exchange, and started to run out of time. As I was determined to try my hand at my very first sex scene, I had to get it in some how.I hope the Epilogue makes up for it!
That was really hot, and funny. I quite enjoyed it.
Response from Shadow (Author of Picking up the Pieces)
Thank you. I am so glad you did.
it was a lil fast paced for me. but still enjoyable. I like a slow build up with lots of tension generally. Excellent dialogue however ;)
Response from Shadow (Author of Picking up the Pieces)
Thank you. I wrote this for the SS/HG exchange, and suddenly the deadline was looming and there was no last chapter, so thats why this one moved so fast.
The story was interesting and developing nicely up to this chapter. But I must say, events here move way too fast to be at all believable. The passion I can go along with, but after one kiss--"you are mine forever if we have sex" seems more than a bit over the top. And why would two (supposedly) intellegent people agree to marry based on just a great bout of sex? I don't have an issue with the sudden sex-- the impulse can be very strong and sudden intimacy can and does happen. I wish you had chosen to develop this story a bit...perhaps they could have gotten to know one another as they searched for her parents and unraveled the mystery of who is after her?I hope you take this as concrit--I don't mean to flame you or anything--just offering my perspective.Peace, Love and Happy Writing!
Response from Shadow (Author of Picking up the Pieces)
Thank you for giving me your opinion. I do value what the readers have to say so that I can make adjustments to my future fics. I did write this for the SS/HG exchange last year, and towards the end found the deadline looming, and no last chapter yet. Hence the slightly rushed ending. I do apologise, and hope the epilogue will make up for it somewhat.
Did time pass or just one mind blowing sex encounter make them realize they were meant for each other?Great chapter...I hope it ends as good.
Response from Shadow (Author of Picking up the Pieces)
Nope - Their combined history and some mind-blowing sex made them realize it!Thank you for taking the time to review!

Sweet romance, I love it when Hermione and Severus "find" each other!Livvy
Response from Shadow (Author of Picking up the Pieces)
Thanks, Livvy. I am glad you enjoyed it.
It did move rather quickly, but there is a history between them that sets it up pretty well.
Response from Shadow (Author of Picking up the Pieces)
Thank you for your kind review. Glad you enjoyed it.
GOOD START, PLEASE KEEP IT UP.
Response from Shadow (Author of Picking up the Pieces)
Thank you. More should be up soon!
Loved the set-up of the first chapter. I can so see Ron making a fuss over having to do something for her. I never do like the pairing because I just do not think that he is the right partner for her. I loved how you put Severus in the story. I just cannot wait to see what happens between them when she comes too.
Response from Shadow (Author of Picking up the Pieces)
Nope, I've never understood that pairing either. Snape just makes more sense!
