Draco wants to talk to Harry about life debts. Unfortunately obtaining Harry's address isn't as easy as Draco had imagined.

Born in Denmark in the year of '79. Drink a lot of tea and is completely an utterly addicted to my dearly beloved LJ account. Feel free to friend me if you're so inclined.
I'm only posting my own favorites and newer stuff here. All my other stuff can be found at my fic comm on LJ, but I'm a fairly mediocre writer though, so consider yourself warned.
There's a lot of Draco/Hermione, a somewhat smaller amount of Severus/Hermione and a wide-ranged smattering of minor pairings including but not limited to Adrian/Hermione, Neville/Lavender, Albus/Sirius, Filch/Luna, Draco/Ginny, Harry/Pansy and Ron/Voldemort. There's also some general stuff and some original fics there.

I liked this. It's nice to see Draco finally grow up.

I figured he had to at some point. :pI'm glad you liked it. :)
Nice. I like it when Ron isn't a bastard and he and Hermione can decide to go their seperate ways without it being something to do with adultery and neglect and such. In spite of my own Draco/Hermione roots, I'm glad that Draco managed to work things out with his wife.

FYI, if you're wondering...HA! This was totally a fake review by me for me. :D All in the interest of remaining anonymous. (And it worked too! I have been scolded and called sneaky. *snicker*)
What a great story! I love that Hermione's hair is short, and that she and Ron divorced. I also enjoy the way you resolved Draco's issues. Very well done!
Response from Moreteadk (Author of Dead Ends and Different Paths)
Thanks I'm glad you liked it. :) I couldn't resist giving her a new haircut. Few people keep the same haircut their entire life after all.
That was definitely unexpected. I like how Hermione was able to get Draco to salvage his marriage. :)

Thanks I'm glad you liked it. :)
Really neat. I liked all of the characterization in this, except for poor Ron, but that's JKR's fault, not yours. I was wary that they would start flirting with each other, but I liked the way they came to a grudging respect and that Draco got a happy ending.
Response from Moreteadk (Author of Dead Ends and Different Paths)
Ron didn't really do anything unforgivable here. They parted on mutually good terms and get along nicely. He's just got a big mouth sometimes, so she's presently annoyed with him.I had actually wanted it to end up Draco/Hermione. But Draco and Hermione didn't want to. :p I'm glad you liked it.
It's nice to see Draco in a more human light. I like the way he's matured but still hasn't lost who he is.Well done!
Response from Moreteadk (Author of Dead Ends and Different Paths)
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. I was a bit worried he was a little bit off here.
Interesting portrayal of Draco as a man rather than a spoilt brat.

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. Even spoiled brats grow up. (Usually)

OMG! A Malfoy losing his hair? Hard to imagine! I'd think they would be rather vain about that! LOL Does Hermione have her children in that tiny flat? I guess she doesn't because they're all at Hogwarts, but she must have at some point, right...? *ponders* Interesting interpretation of the prompt, anyhow! :-)
Author's Response: Well, a receding hairline was mentioned in that epilogue... Personally, I'm in denial about that bit, but I thought if that was all it would take to stay completely canon compliant, why not add it in? Besides, it would be one more thing for him to be frustrated about.
The children are at Hogwarts when not at school, yes. I hadn't actually thought about where they would live when not there, though... I think the divorce didn't happen until after all of them were at school, and she must have been the one to move out of the home she shared with Ron. I figure the children would be old enough then to chose who they'd live with and then staying in a wizarding environment makes sense. Or something. Totally hadn't thought this through when writing. :p
I enjoyed this very much and am glad Draco was able to find some peace. :)

So I guess Draco was really feeling ill at ease because of his marriage and maybe thought rectifying his past debts would somehow rectify his marriage?? I suppose it worked so alls well that ends well :)
Response from Moreteadk (Author of Dead Ends and Different Paths)
Maybe he was. I don't think he was aware of it at all though. I imagine he thought his marriage was beyond salvation and that that way how it was just going to have to be, so he focused his energy on things he thought he could fix instead. I think Hermione inspired him. :)
Very nice. I really liked that sentence: Strange how life turned out sometimes and how one dead-end could still be the opening of a different path. It summed up the story very well. Good work.
Response from Moreteadk (Author of Dead Ends and Different Paths)
Oh thank you. I was having difficulties rounding the story off in a good way, and that sentence just sort of came to me. Had a bit of other stuff after it, but deleted it when I decided it should stand on its own. Now I'm extra glad I did. :)
This is a charming story

This is a very nice take on the prompt. I really like how you've described Harry's celebrity status and the relationships between the frinds. I hope Hermione can take a page out of Draco's book and amend things with Ron. (I don't necessarily mean get back together)Draco was spot on great! I liked how he was trying so hard to be social with Hermione and yet the barbs just popped out. So like him. Very well done.
Response from Moreteadk (Author of Dead Ends and Different Paths)
Ron and Hermione are definitely still very good friends. She's just annoyed at him for not liking her new haircut. Perhaps it has something to do with her doing something slightly girly for herself for once, and him not understanding why she would want to. So, nothing unforgivable, don't worry. :)I'm glad you liked this Draco, I was a bit worried that he was a little off here.
That was really good. The way you did this challenge was deep and moving. And very well written. I can't wait to see who you are so I can read more of your stories.

Very interesting that talking to Hermione, the one person he would never have asked for advice, is the thing that seems to solve his biggest problem. This is a very nice take on the prompt.
Response from Moreteadk (Author of Dead Ends and Different Paths)
Isn't it strange how things work out sometimes? I'm glad you liked it.
