Hahaha... she guilted him with her silence! I love it.
You can't just casually end a chapter with such a sentence! Love it! Please, more?
Just delightful! Hilarious, delightful, a pleasure to read.
Yep. Really enjoying this.
What a great chapter (and I'm so glad you're back with this)! Fun and breezy and sexy and delightful, and filled with great lines - two favorites:"The Weasley girl is mad for letting him name the children.""Yes, yes. You're a powerful witch with a big scary wand."Oh, and she shouldn't be so sure he was cheating at cards all the time - he does indeed have a good supply of that stupid male pride, after all. A fact she ought to be able to make better use of!Get her drunk again, my boy, and don't just tuck her in quietly this time.Sweet scene at the intersection.
What a terrific style you have! I'm hooked, because you've got a very clever, kind of "screwball comedy" thing happening here. Just the way Hermione plowed into Snape in the opening was hilarious, but the banter back and forth might prove to be the stuff of a Cary Grant or Clark Gable or George Clooney or Alan Rickman comedy. Good one.
I'm sorry - I was sure I'd left a review the last time I wandered this way (makes me want to go back to Rome!!), but I see no evidence. How rude of me! Because this is quite fun - a nice ongoing travelogue, with a spice of danger and a touch of adventure and a lovely developing relationship of just the kind that's fun to watch. And hurray for Harry's hand in things! Can't wait to see what the Yanks make of our duo! And is she really so foolish to believe that, even if he started that way, he's still tagging along only because of a life debt he owes to Harry? Come now, dear girl, you can't be that blind!
Oh, this is a great read. I can hardly wait till the next chapter!
Well that was unexpected but oh so nice. Oh Severus you do have a heart (but I think you are only seeing it because Hermione is with you)! Good job Hermione, you just may turn him into the Severus we know and love
Fabulous!
I. Love. It. I love how snarky he is, how she tries to make the most of their exile, and how he finally does a right thing at a right time.
you make me so happy. I love this story. and not just as a native californian who hates las vegas. I just can't stop smiling.honestly, vampires in the casinos...how appropriate.
I cannot believe that he gives away most of the money with them on the run just to make her happy and then she thinks that she loves him - dear me - they are poor and need every penny that can get to make it on their own.
for some reason you sound a lot like neil gaiman. maybe it's the use of the present tense. the story gets so much better when you imagine his voice reading it....not that it wasn't good already! I'm very interested to see where this is going. and is hermione on the run for anything else besides standing in the way of a touchy piece of legislation?
You WonderfulChild, You! This is *brilliant*! Thank you so much for writing it - I'm looking forward to the next chapter with baited breath.
I love that Hermione feels she can snap back at him now without him just abandoning her. It makes for great dialogue!
Loved the latest chapter. The old Hah wand maker was a character. I loved how she laughed herself silly. Severus cannot help but be a snarky tyrannt at times can he- not telling Hermione that he had another wand - ordering her to and fro - good chapter
Interesting story - since they were tracking her by her wand and she is going to procure another - I think she should have broke it because if she slips up and uses it - they will be on her faster than anything. The traveling with Severus should be interesting - cannot wait to see where all of it goes.
I am glad they reached some sort of a truce. It appears they will be teaming up for at least the next little while. Great start!
I would think that if Hermione is on the run and being saved by Severus, she wouldn't be in any position to dictate what her rescuer can and can't talk about and to decide that she'll only do what he says if he gives her an explanation she considers adequate. I'm sure you'll explain why Severus is bothering to help her, but she can't know this reason yet so the behavior is puzzling to me. I've enjoyed your stories in the past so I'll have faith that all will be revealed to me, but right now, I just want to smack the arrogant little chit and leave her to her own devices. But perhaps that's the response you're trying to invoke in your readers. Thanks for your work!
Oh my goodness! How wonderful! Who knew that Snape had a heart! Of course, he'd probably say he did it to get Hermione off his back, not to be a nice guy. :) The last line is killer btw!
Oh, I do love the old wand seller! I wonder what she sees in the future for them? Great character! You're interactions are superbly done... I love how Snape hides his apologies amid other comments.
