A 30-something aspiring romance novelist shamelessly (and obsessively) devoted to Harry Potter and many other geeky fandoms. I ship mostly Hermione/Snape and Harry/Hermione, but have been known to dabble in others.

*sniff, sniff* that was magnificently beautiful. thank you
SO Sad and yet so beautiful. wonderfully done.
This was beautiful. Like a tissue-paper mosaic, it was delicate and lovely. It does give closure to a very roughly-stitched hole in JK's narrative; that she should crush Severus so suddenly seems an injustice. Your piece does a good part of righting this.
Very moving... I would like to think it happened like that for Severus.

Thank you very much for your kind words. I'd like to think that this was how it went for him, too ... he deserves the peace and happiness he couldn't get in life. Thanks for reading.

*sniffle* That was beautiful. I've often imagined similar scenarios for our favourite Syltherin. I was outraged by the ignominious end he suffered and his lack of kudos. OK, so Harry gave his second son Severus as a middle name, big deal, he deserves a shrine! (And he has one on my hdd!)

Thank you for your kind words. Yes, I've always felt that Severus wasn't the happily-ever-after type (at least not in the way that characters like Harry or Hermione are), but I was VERY saddened to see that he didn't get the last hurrah he deserved. I guess my little piece is just a way of hoping that he found the happiness he didn't get in life. Thanks for reading.

Absolutely magnificent. I loved the choice you give Severus at the end-to choose to help Voldemort or not. Talk about a defining moment. It fits beautifully.Warm regards,Lynnette

*blush* thank you so much! I agree that it was definitely a defining moment for him ... and I gather that, despite his cruelty and bravado, our dear Snark master suffered under an overabundance of self-loathing. So I like to think that he'd have quite a choice, to take what he deserved. Thanks for reading and especially for your kind words.

I'm at a loss for words....wonderful, marvelous, bravo, a true hero our Severus is! Take that JKR

I agree (as you can tell) that he's a hero. And, to me, the best kind: one who is humble and (my personal fave) just a little tragic ^_^. I'd like to think that this is the deserving send-off that JKR would/should/may have given him. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
