Hello. I love reading and writing... what more can I say?
Reviews for Enduring Recovery
Finally he has insight into why he hates Harry so much.
Response from sweetflag (Author of Enduring Recovery)
Thank you for the review. Not sure that the revelation will sit well with him though...
Oooh - quite the revelation! Good chapter! I can't wait for the next!

Poor Snape. I hope she realizes what he's done for her. Looking forward to more
Response from sweetflag (Author of Enduring Recovery)
Thank you for the review. I don't think that Snape will ever tell her directly what he did, but there is always the chance that she will come across that Potion in years to come and wonder.
not as good as chapter 1, Hermione appears to have lost it!
Response from sweetflag (Author of Enduring Recovery)
Thank you for the review. She has indeed, and that is one of the main threads running through this--her losing it and then finding it again.
Great concept, powerful story

Thank you for the review.
I wonder if she will work out what the potion does, and how it will make him feel? Is there such an entity as a writing Master.. if there is you must be the one!
Response from sweetflag (Author of Enduring Recovery)
Thank you for the review and the amazing compliment :)
Wow! This story is just staggering in its depth and intensity. I can't wait to find out who you are!
Response from sweetflag (Author of Enduring Recovery)
Thank you for the review, the stars and the compliment. I'm actually nervous about the reveal... not sure why.
another good chapter continuing the theme of the emotional rollercoaster that is post traumatic stress disorder, survivor's guilt etc

Thank you for the review :)
It's a bumpy ride but an enjoyable one and well crafted.
Response from sweetflag (Author of Enduring Recovery)
Thank you for the review.. and I should sort these reviews so that they appear in the proper order... lol: I'm working backwards here.
Wow, that was an intense chapter...

Oh, you have been killing me--KILLING me--with his scratching. I mean, yes, everything else was so powerful, but the scratching...
Oh my. Oh my. Such a powerful chapter.
Response from sweetflag (Author of Enduring Recovery)
Thank you :) Yes, the scratching... I'm glad that you've latched onto that: isn't it odd how something like that can be dismissed so easily by the sufferer when in fact it is a crucial indicator of something...
What a tremendous start, emotional and gritty realism regarding the effects war/hatred/deceit has on people. No sugar coating here!
Response from sweetflag (Author of Enduring Recovery)
Thank you again... lol. I'm glad that the chapter caught your interest :)
Very intense chapter and quite a few revelations. And now Severus once again lies bleeding on a floor - please tell me that Hermione will be able to help him???
Response from sweetflag (Author of Enduring Recovery)
Thank you for the review. Full circle, as they would say--oh, I wish that I could tell ;)... lol. There will be a whole chapter yet to mull over his predicament. Not really meant as an evil enticement; I just have a few things to put across to the reader, a few hints and clues and a few answers to any questions that I may have raised--I'm not intentionally cruel... lol.
What an intriguing story. Just read your first chapters in one go, and now I am so looking forward to more.
Oh, and why do I have the sneaking suspicion that the displacement potion might not be Severus's best idea?
Response from sweetflag (Author of Enduring Recovery)
Thank you for the review and the compliment. I have absolutely no idea why you would have a sneaking suspicion... lol. Chapter five is being beta read and it will go some way to confirm your suspicion. I hope that you enjoy :)

Such powerful emothions at play. I am so glad you are going deeper into the after efects of the war, not just the "Oh well, the war is over and we live happily ever after" line like JKR left us with!

Thank you. I have the advantage of being able to place these stories in a rating category, and thus have that freedom to delve deeper, but I do agree that the end of the series was very flat with regards to how they all dealt and coped with it... Even Ron didn't get a good whinge in!

Oh no!!
There is so much emotion in this story. I am really riveted.

Thank you for the review. I was concerned that I'd overdone it a bit, but I was aware that given the constraints, ie the deadline... lol, that I needed to 'get in there'. I hope to have the next chapters up with more speed, I hope that you'll enjoy those too.

Such a dark and painful chapter for the two. I enjoyed your scene with Severus' father, and a further take on his feelings regarding "the incident".
Response from sweetflag (Author of Enduring Recovery)
Thank you. JK Rowling, wonderful woman that she is, left so many prompts to many aspects of her characters, so many different interpretations of scenes in the books that you could delve in and be lost forever. I didn't intend to make Dumbledore appear to be so dismissive and manipulative, but I feel that knowing how his life had turned out that such actions are, in the long run, perceived as being for the best, and any snubbed feelings are just part and parcel of growing-up. Of course, hindsight is 20/20, and Snape could have done with less snubbing and more support. Makes you wonder just how culpable we are for the way our lives turn out, or if we are gently guided to our ultimate fate? Hmmm... maybe in another chapter, I'll get them to think about that... thank you for the idea!

The experiences relayed in this story make you realize what can be behind those oh so changed eyes of a loved one who has returned from combat. I believe that as much as we (family and love ones) can empathize, only others who have also lived through such experiences can truly understand. A very heart wrenching story.
Response from sweetflag (Author of Enduring Recovery)
Thank you for the review. It does divide, it does create barriers, and that is, to my mind, the most cruel aspect of coping with tragedy. The perceived lack of understanding means that family and friends are left offering that sustained support and empathy, but they too will feel as though they have lost something forever--combined with all the guilt and remorse, unfulfilled desires to help... Terrible! To be left on the edges, never being fully aware of something that has altered the life of a loved one. In some respects that is equally as difficult.

Great 2nd chapter - emotionally wrenching and the ending with Severus bleeding was plain scary - I do hope he is okay - it would be horrible for him just to fix the wound and then all of a sudden start bleeding out

Thank you for the review. Chapter three will be up as soon as it's checked... Hope you continue to enjoy the story.

Poor Hermione and Severus. Just when one thing gets better, something else goes wrong. Love the story!
Response from sweetflag (Author of Enduring Recovery)
Thank you. They do seem to be having a rough time of it, but they have something special to help them... just can't quite see it yet.
