When Lily Potter finds herself sitting up for yet another night with her infant son, she decides that it’s about time for her to resort to a little bit of DIY potion-making in order to ensure her family finally gets a good night’s sleep.
It has been a long time though since she last made a potion and for good reason…

This is lovely, she would definitely be thinking about Severus when making potions. I just wish she could have forgiven him! (But then I suppose there wouldn't have been the story there was... ach vell!)
this is so beautifully written, with a good eye for all the little details that establish the scene visually. i was totally immersed in it. it makes sense that brewing potions would make lily think of severus, and i have a real soft spot for the lily/severus pairing. this was sweet, and sad, and very poignant. lovely.

Thanks, I always think it's the little details that really make a scene come to life, so I try to focus in on them, and you're right, there is something so tragically beautiful about that pair.
I so know what that feels like to be up with a sick child. So Lily stills has some feelings for Severus. thats the usual with your first love. Poor Harry never really liked Potions like his mother. lol
