Severus Snape has already made his commitment to the Death Eaters when Lily Evans arrives at his door, a complication he hadn’t expected—a temptation he almost couldn’t resist. Set a few years after graduation—late 1979-early 1980. Written Pre-DH--no DH spoilers.

I am a lover of any and all HP pairings, and am currently on a quest to believably write as many different permutations as possible.
That being said, my favorites are Hermione/Remus, Hermione/Sirius, Hermione/Snape, Hermione/Harry, Lily/Snape, and, on occasion, Ginny/Remus.

I really can see him being tormented like this.
Nicely done. I could see this.
I really wish Lily had indeed knocked at his door. And I really wish he wouldn't have pushed her away. There might just have been more light in his life that way.
Thanks for sharing this. Bittersweet yet beautiful.

It's so much easier to deal with this ship when I tell myself Lily really didn't care. I don't know why I keep torturing myself reading snily (so angsty!) but anyway, I had to say you write beautifully.

Aww, yes it is difficult to think that her heart might have been involved like his was, but thank you for your compliment! Angst is a force to be reckoned with sometimes. Thanks for taking the time to read, rate, and review!
i liked it, too. this is also one of my favorite 'ships, and young severus just breaks my heart. very sad, but you did very well with the characterizations.

I'm glad you liked it! I really do love this 'ship, and when others who like it as well like my stories about them, it makes me very happy :) Thanks for taking the time to read, review, and rate!
Interesting. Very careful characterisation of Severus. Liked it very much. Thanks.

Thank you! This is one of my favorite 'ships, and I always found myself wondering just what kind of confrontation they might have had if they met again before her wedding but after her engagement. Thanks again for taking the time to read, review, and rate!
