Jumped on the Harry Potter bandwagon in 2000 (when Goblet of Fire was out in hardback). Prisoner of Azkaban is my favourite in the series, followed by Order of the Phoenix. I read and write in the SS/HG corner of the Potterverse.

Thank you! It hadn't occurred to me that it could be interpreted as Severus using the bottle of ketchup to do the foul deed. Interesting way of reading it!
It would totally be great if she haunted him and told all the DE secrets to Ron and Harry.
Response from ayerf (Author of Spilt Ketchup)
Thanks! That would enable Hermione to get her revenge, although Ron would be in for some haunting too.
Eeeeeeep...! Chilling indeed...can only assume that this is LoyalToVoldemort!Snape. Poor Hermione...
Response from ayerf (Author of Spilt Ketchup)
Thank you! It is that sort of Snape. Hermione didn't have a chance.
huh?

Is there anything I can do to clarify this drabble?
Thanks for reviewing.

i dont understand what ketchup has to do with this, how Hermione died, etc?
Response from ayerf (Author of Spilt Ketchup)
Basically Hermione went out to buy some ketchup for Ron, but Evil!Snape caught her just after she'd bought it. I hope that helps!
Response from togspled (Reviewer)
Ah! yes, that explains it a lot better.why ketchup?
Response from ayerf (Author of Spilt Ketchup)
Good!
Ron being mad about food, he's also mad about condiments. I imagine Hermione wanted some peace from his moaning.

In which case, i deem this drabble brilliant.

Thank you!
[Shudder] That was ...chilling.Dark and disturbing imagery. SideOfEvil! Snape. Hint of romance in that last tender gesture and belated compliment. Even some humor on the side, in the form of the grumbling ghost. (Hey! Maybe she’ll be haunting him from now on?) I’m always amazed by drabble writers’ ability to put so many nuance into such few sentences. Yours is a masterpiece. And Ron should have gone to get his damn ketchup himself!
Response from ayerf (Author of Spilt Ketchup)
Thank you! Sounds like I managed to fulfill my aims with this drabble.
If Hermione does start haunting someone, I'm not sure whether it would be Snape or Ron, as both played a part in her death!
Drabbling does tend to require being more succinct than with longer fics.
Indeed, Ron should have got his own ketchup.
So dark in so few words.

Thanks! That was my aim with this.
Very nice drabble! If Snape were on Voldy's side for real, and knowing what he'd know of the trio, Hermione would definitely be on the top of the hit list - even above Harry.I liked his clinical apology, very Snape!
Response from ayerf (Author of Spilt Ketchup)
Thank you!Definitely just as well for Hermione (and Harry as he'd have been dead without her) that Snape was on their side in canon.Glad it was a Snapely apology!
Aii, poor girl. Ketchup? As a murder weapon? How undignified!
Response from ayerf (Author of Spilt Ketchup)
Yup, poor Hermione. When I wrote this, it didn't occur to me that the ketchup could be interpreted as the murder weapon. But it works... if undignified!
