An 1100 word serial drabble written for the page 314 challenge at grangersnape100. If you are not in the mood to be very, very sad, I suggest you don't read this. I had a terrible time getting through this myself. This is the first time I have ever teared up while composing a drabble. You've been warned!

I hate writing autobiographies...
My name is Emily, I'm 25 years old, and I'm from Boston.
I write SS/HG and nothing else, with the exception of SS/HG/LM.
My biggest WIP is In Times of War, and it will come to completion at about 125,000 words.

Heartbreakingly, lovely.
It's funny how many of us Severus fans enjoy 'The Vampire Chronicles' isn't it?

I never really thought about it before, but you're absolutely right. I saw so many Vampire!Snape prompts on the SSHG Exchange this term that it was almost scary...Thank you for your lovely review!
That is sad, but how did Hermion become a Horcrux?

Ah, I was waiting for this question...Saddle up, as this won't be a short explanation...The way I see it, we have a lot of time where Hermione was unaccounted for in the final chapters of book 7. I imagine that she is secretly following Harry around to make sure that he is ok. When Voldemort kills Harry, and the piece of Voldemort's soul leaves him, I think that it found its way into the only comparably pure host in the vicinity: Hermione. See, the soul was planted in Harry. Harry was a pure soul himself. So, therefore, the soul, if it were to find a new host, would need one that is comparable to its initial enclosure. This makes Hermione pretty much the only option, as the other beings present are evil Death Eaters. Snap to present:When Severus kills Hermione in this story, there is no comparable host for the soul to go into. Severus, wondeful as he may be, is certainly not a pure and untainted soul. The horcrux is destroyed, Hermione dies, Severus lives, and the world goes on. Phew! *wipes brow*Can you believe I had all of this nonsense in my mind when I was writing this?Thank you for reviewing!

I agree with your theory. Tell me am I the only one who asked?

LOL as a matter of fact, you are... on here, fan fiction, grangersnape100 and Ashwinder! You're the only one, my friend. I'm a little surprised, myself. I certainly went out on quite the unexplained limb with this one
*sobs* this was just so sad, yet soo beautiful. My heart was breaking for them both. Wonderful job. Xx
Based on DH, if she wanted she could return after the Horcrux was killed. But I suppose that would ruin the beautifully melancholy tone of the piece. Poor, poor Hermione.
