Jumped on the Harry Potter bandwagon in 2000 (when Goblet of Fire was out in hardback). Prisoner of Azkaban is my favourite in the series, followed by Order of the Phoenix. I read and write in the SS/HG corner of the Potterverse.

ohmygoodness! I hope Hermione's death is Snape's bogart. This was a creepy little drabble, and I mean that in the best of ways.

Snape's boggart or Crookshanks boggart? Thank you! Creepy was what I was aiming for.
Well now, that was nice and clever.... I liked it. :)

Thanks, I'm glad to hear it.
I liked this a great deal. Nice job.

Thank you, I'm happy to hear it.
Excellent misdirection! You had me going!

Success! Thank you, I'm glad to hear it.
I really love this. Of course, I'm always fond of Crookshanks-centric fics, but I particularly like this one because of the huge misdirect and the idea of even Crooks getting taken in by a boggart.

Thank you! To review this again makes it clear how much you like this.
Boggarts are tricksome things. They're probably the only really useful thing Lupin taught about in PoA, and even then, as Molly Weasley's woes showed, the charm might not work.

I don't know about the *only* useful thing. That's just the only class we saw in detail. But he taught Grindylows, which Harry got past in PoA. And he set an essay on vampires, which people used for years as "evidence" that Severus was one. (Supposed retaliation for the werewolf assignment I guess.) You're right about the trickiness of the charm. Really, how are you supposed to transform visions of your loved ones' corpses into something you can laugh at?
Response from ayerf (Author of Pulling My Tail)
Usefulness in terms of shoddy teaching in previous years, and in view of Voldemort's return. But his lessons doubtless were more useful than Severus implied.
Managing to laugh at boggarts can only really work if it's a typical childhood fear, I guess. Or perhaps it's forced into a fear that can be laughed at with a strong enough will?
Response from firefly124 (Reviewer)
Yeah, it's kind of amazing Harry survived at all, considering the miserable teaching he got most years. Or perhaps it's forced into a fear that can be laughed at with a strong enough will? Perhaps.
Oh.... you evil, clever person, you! This is just so good!
Response from ayerf (Author of Pulling My Tail)
Thank you very much! I do my best.

Response from ayerf (Author of Pulling My Tail)
Thank you! I did my best with Crooks' POV.
Thank God it was a boggart. I was about to cry. I love the Crookshanks fics, he's such a sweetie.
Response from ayerf (Author of Pulling My Tail)
Thank you! Crookshanks is irresistable, isn't he?
