Poor Severus! I feel like when it ends poorly for him, it seems pretty realistic, but I always hate it when he messes out on any chance at life. What sad memories he has.

Honey, I'm so glad you posted this. I haven't read it in a long, long time. Still it's breathtakingly written, with the powerful theme and imagery of hunger wound throughout. Heart-wrenching.

I imagine that if I had to think of one word to describe SS that hungry might indeed be it. I love how you've woven in his youth and his teen years with this.

Thanks for reading this too! As I said in my author's notes, the concept/storyline isn't mine, but when I read the original piece, images of Severus burst through my mind, and I had to write it! :o) ~H
