I picked up the Harry Potter fandom around the time the first movie came out and began writing fanfic early 2005 after discovering the adult online community. I identify most closely with the Slytherins and you will see my taste in writing lends me to writing about Slytherins more often than not. In addition to fanfiction, I also make fanvids on the Harry Potter fandom. I'm a Perfect Imagination acredited beta and am willing to help authors. My main 'ship interests are Snape/OC (never really got into the SS/HG pairing) and LM/any female (with HG as a new favorite). I have dabbled in RL/OC and RL/NT and am okay with those pairings. I generally shy away from slash, just not my thing. For updates on my writing, check out my Live Journal

Interesting selection of the person she met. I can see an AU in which they might be together.

Thanks. I thought it would be tons of fun to have him in charge. LOL I think I'm becoming addicted to surprise characters because this is the second or third one I've done. And you're right, I can easily see an AU where they might get together as while they have their differences, they do have a lot in common.
Wow... that was a great oneshot... it left me wishing for more but knowing that more might ruin it. I enjoyed the nonprat Percy. Great story!!!~*~Selene~*~

Thanks. I thought it would be interesting to see another side of Percy. I figure he can't go through life as a prat. Well, he could, but that would have been no fun for me. I figure that the point would come when he would see that the Ministry isn't all powerful. And I'm glad you liked that ending. That was exactly how I wanted folks to feel about it. :D
That'll teach Scrimgeour to leave Percy at his siblings tender mercies in HBP!I wasn't expecting it to be him, but it works very well.

Hehehe! Wasn't that a shocker? I really had fun with that idea. I did figure that Percy would eventually catch on that his family was not idiots. It's so much more fun to do out of left field ideas like this than to take the same old, same old. It's always the quiet ones, have to watch out for them. LOL
Will there be anymore?

I'm glad you enjoyed this one enough to ask for more, but I think it will end off here. There's a part of me that really loves those, 'looks like a happy ending, but lets leave something to the imagination.' Though there may be some sort of future fic I do at some point with the two of them. I do find it an interesting and plausible pairing. :D
How heartbreaking for everyone, that fought to overthrow Riddle, to then have to undergo such a savage tyranny, at the hands of the very people that should have been protecting them
I like this take on Percy. Very unusual. *nods*

Thanks. I think that was part of the fun of this story. What do we know about him? Very little other than he's highly motivated and his teenage/young adult self was embarrassed by his family, but that's very common. I thought it would be interesting to explore him realizing that perhaps his family was on the right track. Plus I like using surprise characters in these challenges. It's a fun little twist. :D
wow! you packed alot into such a short story. great stuff! thanks so much
