Argus Filch poked his head out of his chambers to be faced with an irate Headmistress who silently presented him with a ruffled Mrs. Norris and left in a huff, ignoring his questions.

The next morning, Minerva stopped by the hospital wing for a chat with Madam Pomfrey.

“Have you anything to cure itching, Poppy?”

“I have several things, what is wrong, Minerva? Have you been around a student with Dragon Pox?”

“ No. That blasted Mrs. Norris has given me fleas!”
