Eh, I'm too boring to have a proper bio.

I do love it when a minor character has a pivital role to play. Thank you.
I have to tell you that I really liked Pansy in this one, and I guess it's mostly because she did the right thing, but I also liked the internal workings of her mind. Also, Dumbledore was portrayed just as I would expect him to. Good work as always.

Thanks! I had a lot of fun writing this, but it was also really hard, to be honest, trying to find the line between her Slytherin side and the part of her that wants to do what's right and help her friend at the same time.
But scarily enough, one of the main reasons I wrote it was that I don't think Snape was all that surprised to see Narcissa and Bella show up on his doorstep. Someone tipped him off beforehand, I think. It's just easier for me to believe that Rodolphus drinks too much and Pansy has a big crush on her boyfriend than that Snape really heard about it all from Voldemort himself. *lives in own private world of extended canon* tee hee
Interesting.? Pansy is such an awful character in the books.? It's fun to see her portrayed in another -- and much more sympathetic -- light.? [Mean girls can't be mean ALL the time, right?]? I do think that "creating such a well-laid plan that no one on the face of the earth knows where she really is and what she's really doing" is pretty Slytherin, though.? Maybe she'd end up being one of the "great and good" from Slytherin that Dumbledore mentioned once.? Any thoughts of a companion story telling what Pansy does after Dumbledore is killed and Draco runs off? I'd love to read it!?

Hmm... so far I haven't had any plans for a sequel, but it would be kind of interesting to consider what she'd be thinking. I'll definitely have to think about that.
And I agree, mean girls can't be mean all the time. Really, most of the "mean" characters have human sides; it's kind of fun to set about writing a fic that portrays them in situations where that's more evident. Most of them are daughters or sons, mothers or fathers, etc. I guess I have a hard time seeing them treating their loved ones like they would their enemies. And at the end of the day, I don't think most of them are necessarily evil, they just believe that they're right, believe what they've been told, and don't really think they're doing anything wrong. I'm not excusing or condoning anything that the 'evil' characters do, mind, but I do have fun trying to get inside the characters' heads and figure out their motivations. Especially with characters like Pansy or Draco. Bellatrix... not so much. She's just nuts. :)
