I am the ultimate anti-shipper. No. I don't hate ships. Romance is my favourite genre after all, I just don't sail a particular one. I sail several, most of them odd. I do have quite the soft spot for Hermione/Severus fics though, especially ones where Severus is the ascrebic, witty, evil bastard that he is in the books!

I have read this a long time ago. Yet, here it comes again. Your Inarra, as Snape's daughter, is a beautiful character that trully embraces her parentage. Although, me, as SS/HG shipper, wish your story would end accordingly, it is not about them. It is most certainly about this amazing daugther of theirs, and it encompasses the virtue of JKR's last line of the last book - All was well. Thank you so much for writing such a jewel that grabs one's attention multiple times.

A bit late on the response, but thank you! My idea for Inarra was spurred on by Ferporcel's Nathan in Not Only a Granger. I was intrigued by her premis for getting Snape and Hermione together and wanted to give it a shot - only it turned out completely different. My Hermione didn't forgive Snape and Inarra didn't give a damn - so it became a one-shot about Inarra with Hermione and Snape going their separate ways. Characters will never behave... :-D
Very well written and enjoyable. I was pleased that Hermione did not forgive Snape for the rape and abuse--even though he didn't want to do it. I like realism, and in a situation like that, your take made sense to me. One question: where did you get the name Inarra? does it mean something?Excellent job.

I'm very glad you enjoyed it! Inarra the name of one of the principle characters in the Joss Wedon show: Firefly. When I was wracking my brain for a good name for Snape's daughter, it just kept presenting itself to me, so I went with it, even though my Inarra and Joss' Inarra are completely different sorts of characters :)
I am a radical hg/ss shipper, but I agree with you they didn't work in this story, I love that you were able to make me enjoy a story where hg ends up marrying victor instead of snape, I can honestly say it is the first time. If there is a sequel in the works I would gladly read it.

Thank you! There is indeed a sequel in the works, but it's Inarra-centric. I'm not an ardent HGSS shipper, though I do particularly enjoy reading fics about them. In this case, it just seemed to be more about their daughter.
Delightful! I really enjoyed this. Inarra really is the 'sum of all her parts,' as well. You've written her just perfectly as their daughter!

Thank you!
What a wonderful story!? I really enjoyed your characterization of Innara.? I hope there's a sequal in the works!

Thank you! She weasles her way into my mind occasionally. We might see her again, a bit more grown up.
**Applauds**You did a great portrayal with Inarra. Though I think that third year might be a tad young for this confrontation to happen, but she is a mixture of a Slytherin and a strong-willed Gryffindor, so everything might be possible.

Thank you! I toyed around with what age to make her and I finally settled with her being slightly more mature than other 13 year olds. This was intended to be a romance fic starring Severus and Hermione and a younger Inarra was preferable for the plotline. But then Hermione and Severus didn't cooperate and Inarra stole the show. So there you go ;)
As you know, I enjoyed this. Excellent read. I really like how you characterized Inarra.

Thank you! You have no idea the grin that your response to this story has brought to my face. I will likely be wearing this smile for the rest of the day!
*Snigger*This was very amusing, and completely distracted me from my assignments!
