Reviews for The Train
THAT was incredible. What a marvelous story! The manner in which you described the Marauders and Snape's first encounter really clarified and explained why he hated them so much in the HP books: They took everything away from him. Lily. A possible friendship with Remus. Everything.
There's also a great deal of difference between the Snape then and the Snape we know now. After all that ridicule and years of torment, who could blaim Snape for choosing to follow Voldemort?
Lucius was portrayed perfectly. At first he seemed too nice. However, he was only fifteen and, at such a young age, he wouldn't be the cruel, jaded man that he has become. Marvelous job!
This is a beautiful story; the parallel between Severus and Lily was wonderful and I would thoroughly enjoy another chapter. This would make a fabulous story and I hope that you might possibly consider continuing it. :)

Wow, thank you for that lovely review! It's really great to see that things that were intended actually work.
I don't think little Snape was all innocent and angelic either, though. And joining Voldemort can't be justified even by the bullying, IMO, but I tackled that topic in another story.
This story is part of a series of short stories about young Snape and his friendship with Lily. I've posted 'The Train' and 'The Kiss'; two more will follow. I started to write a long SS/HG story, this series of short stories is part of 'my' back story to 'my' Snape.
Very enjoyable one shot.
