A good presentation of opposites.  But there are several attitudes towards opposites: reconciliation, choosing one over the other, one is essential to the existence of the other.  My impression is that the poem depicts encompassing them.  A nitpick is that the poem does not describe (the poet) coming to terms with this encompassing.  I realize this nitpick may not be valid because of the near impossibility of introducing this dynamic element into a snapshot poem.
