Honestly, if canon Hermione weren't such a little control freak who enjoys chivvying people and bossing them around (more like Molly Weasley than most people realize) -- and if canon Ron weren't quite such a hapless man-child who clearly needs someone to keep an eye on him and keep him in line -- then I couldn't even begin to imagine what might attract them to each other and keep them together long enough to make it down the aisle (never mind having children) since they have so little in common apart for their mutual affection for Harry.
