I'm a forty-something American woman who is addicted to the SSHG pairing, relatively new to this fandom. I'm also considering starting some original fiction soon...
Check out the story I co-wrote with Remarkable -- it's called "Hidden Attractions" and (as soon as it's through the queue) it's archived under the penname remarkable_linlawless.
For those who are interested, I've got two WIPs at my website (which I will eventually post here, but not until I have a complete draft). It's easy and free to join the website, so I hope you'll visit!
I am honored that my story, Witchy Woman, has been selected as a featured story for September 2010. Better yet, this honor came with the very awesome banner at the top of this post!
Here's a couple of banners my friend Atuliel made for the two WIPs at my website:

Ohh, I loved this. It's a nice change to see Severus going through women. Glad to see they've got a date! Xx
Awww :)
Glad they have a date to look forward too. She was right under his nose all the time lol.
Thanks for writing and sharing this with us.

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)
I really enjoyed their camaraderie, the display of their mutual trust and the happiness they bring to each other, especially for Snape. Much is expressed, about the future specifically, without the need to elaborate. And there's something exciting about waiting for the right time; I feel Hermione's response in that second last line intensely. Great!

What a lovely review! Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. :)
Wonderfull. And though I was sceptic about the first-person POV, II grew to like it vert much within the first 10 lines or so.

I hardly ever write in 1st person, but this one just insisted. Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for reviewing! :)
Love how tolerant she is with his attempts at a love life! :)

LOL, thanks! Glad you liked! :)
AW love! I always love Severus as awkward and clueless about women. Makes him adorable.

Thank you! This was a one-shot, though. I have several other WIPs already going and have vowed not to add any new ones until I finish those.
Well, even extraordinarily smart men have been known to lose (more than) half their IQ points when confronted by extraordinary beauty. Hopefully, enough functioning brain cells remain to help them realize that something rather important is missing before they rush to put a ring on it.Of course, that does go both ways. Smart women and their fascination with bad boys, often much to their detriment.

LOL! You are so right on both sides of the equation! :) Thank you for the review! :D
