I learned to do a lot of things while Luna was growing up."--I just love how, like a bolt of lightening within all the beautifuly descriptive narrative, you capture Xeno & his past, his essence in sentences such as this one. So few ever consider what it was like for him, raising Luna alone as a single father.

'Do you see how delicate it is? How beautiful it is? You are even more delicate, even more beautiful.' and 'Luna added, "Just be gentle with him. His heart is delicate, you know.'-- among other lines, your usage of 'delicate' thematically is just.so.breathtaking. Love how Hermione notices and becomes *aware* of Xeno;-), and I'm so relieved that Luna is supportive of them, though cautious about his heart as well--yes, each is a delicate, beautiful creation:-) Our wise wonderful delicate Luna!

This is actually their first pairing I've read. A little odd, but I still thought it was sweet. It's nice that someone can see that child-like innocence that he seems to have.
