Reviews for Vampire!Severus 1: Out West
'Return with us now to those thrilling days of yesteryear when the Black Rider rode the plains of the Wild West (...) the bite of a radioactive snake gave him the powers and the curse of a vampire.'--OMG, this is a brilliant concept! Coupled with four editors contributing to 'the story'--this is truly a unique brilliant premise, and a first-time series read for me... Now that I'll be reading them in order:-), again, the impact of the 'present editor's world' and then the story within a story is so pwerfully effective, switching back and forth from one clear storyline to the other-- what a wonderful read!

Thanks for the encouraging review. It was written for its amusement factor: a chaotic pastiche, and I'm glad it entertains you.
This is the first Vampire!Snape story I've read - mostly due to my own predjudice - but I must confess I enjoyed it. Also I'm with Mick42 on this: I'd like to see the blond aristocrat with son appear in a second chapter. Also I'd love to hear the reaction of the readers to this magniicent piece.

Thanks. As requested, there is a sequel.

This was great fun, I liked the way the voice changes, with each new author. Is there going to be a sequel? maybe we could meet a tall aristocratic blonde, Banker, ranch owner, saloon keeper, local big wig type, with a son{also blonde} with eyes for the farmers daughter.

Thanks. There is a sequel, but with four authors, the plot has trouble moving forward.

That's a great take on the prompt, and I love the different writing styles in this!

Thanks. Conjuring up different styles used up the evening.

That's a very fun way to explore the Vampire!Snape cliche. I loved it.

Thanks. By the time the drabble describes the writers, there's not much space left for the cliché.

I also enjoyed the different writing styles (Biff's especially, and Cho's final response lol)! The depiction of the prompt in a kind of "meta" story was quite funny (the concept of the story - vampire!Snape - told through a second story of the writing process, as depicted by these characters). Also made me think of round robin writing and trying that as a writing exercise! I've definitely enjoyed some round robin fics and this injected humour into what that sort of writing probably involves, as well.

The different style of each writer was a lot of fun. :)

Thanks. The different writers barely fit into one drabble.

I like how the story changes style, and maybe even direction depending on who is writing at the time. Too true about cliched vampire!Snape.

Thanks.
(Since I've never read any Vampire!Snape, I really don't know what clichés to avoid.)
