Wow! Not the sort of tale I usually read. I usually prefer lighter stuff, a bit of pleasant storytelling. But I am really glad I read this. You have carefully thought out your characters here. Excellent job. I am honoured to be the first reviewer.

Thank you! I know this is a pretty grim story, so I appreciate your giving it a try. I wanted to show how easy it can be to lose one's humanity once one starts down that road of self-justification and blaming others/circumstances. Severus is definitely in a difficult, even impossible position, yet he makes the wrong choices, too. Again, thanks for reviewing; I really appreciate it.
