Minerva attempts to teach Severus Occlumency and perhaps something more. This is not a happy Christmas story.

I'm a middle-aged, professional writer of non-fiction and would-be professional writer of fiction who also writes Harry Potter fanfiction just for fun.
I’m a proud member of the Harry Potter Old Lady Smut Brigade, which means I’m most interested in the older female characters in the Harry Potter saga, particularly Minerva McGonagall.
If I had received my Hogwarts letter back in nineteen-mumble-mumble, I would most likely have been sorted into Ravenclaw, or so everyone tells me, probably because I’m a geeky data-freak (my Real Life™ requires me to read piles of medical journal articles.) I, however, think I’d feel right at home in Hufflepuff too, so I consider myself a Ravenpuff.
The fics I write may contain adult themes, and I will always warn for non-con, graphic violence, bestiality, incest, or underage sex. I don't warn for homosexual relationships or sex, or for threesomes/moresomes, unless they contain one of the aforementioned elements.

I have a blog: http://squibstress.wordpress.com/.

I maintain a master list of (mostly Minerva-centric) recs at Diigo.

No, Minerva's not that good.My opinion, as always.
Response from Squibstress (Author of Four Christmases)
Maybe not. Nothing in canon suggests she isn't of course, and I always enjoy "what-ifs."Thanks for reading.

You know already how much I liked this! ♥
Author's Response: Thanks! And thanks for taking the time to leave a comment here, too.
Cheers!
Its been a long while since I visited your Minerva and your Albus, well, any of your characters and I am glad to see that they are still, very, very consistent, despite what ever universe they inhabit. I will say that Dumbledore, here, sounded so very familiar to the Albus I knew in Epith - and Snape here was far more human, and humble, that I am used to - and as you know, I much prefer your Snape to most others.I also had to grin to myself at some of the names you used ... Mathew ... Marcus ... This universe's Minerva is far more cunning than some of your previous Minervas - not sure if I like it or not - but it was brilliantly written either way.

Thanks for reading this depressing tale, my dear.I seem to be visiting a darker version of Minerva of late (no nefarious reasons, just something new to try), but I'm glad you still find her and others recognizable.I'm not the most inventive with names, I'll admit. ;-)

I love this, it is so poignant and stark... I love the slightly ambiguous ending, though I would have easily, happily read several more chapters delving into the intricacies of their relationship. I would rate this story all five stars if I could, but as I'm on my Kindle at the moment, it wont let me.

Thanks for your kind words. It's a bit dark for a Christmas story, but it was fun to write all the same. Thanks for reading and commenting!
