Such lovely contrasts between each scene - you can see him evolve into Professor Snape, then back into Severus in these.

This is really good. It is economical word-wise, but it says so much emotion-wise. It is so easy to look at the weather and think that it always means the same thing mood-wise: sunny weather is happy, rainy weather is depressing. But here he has a range of emotions all in the rain and all as a result of the rain. The rain contributes a key element but it doesn't reflect the mood; and in doing so, it doesn't become the cliche.
