Reviews for Redemption on the Installment Plan - XVIII
Enjoyed Padma, Lucius, and K'tak and her uncle--a snippet into the lives of house-elves, as well as a delightful scenario between rarely-ever-written-together characters... Hmmm Lucius could enlighten Padma about quite a few things.Cormac is very guarded around Hermione; she oblivious about how her reputation puts one en garde--will he let his projected prejudice down? Will her overbearing nature soften a we bit for them to connect more?Uff! Hot scene with Lavender and Severus, hope the last line means that she will truly have no regrets nor recriminations against Severus, the little hypocrite... She thoroughly, mutually enjoyed it and should perhaps show a little gratitude of (as expressed in a former installment) a wizard serving others needs--she did determinedly inquire and present her self as especially in needGreat chapter!

Thanks for the review, and I'm glad you're enjoying this sprawling tale. After the tentative Padma and the guarded Cormac, the chapter explodes with Lavender.
It's like the adage about the tree falling in the forest, isn't it?

But we may not have heard the last of this one.

I'm completely lost here...what exactly is Severus hoping and trying to achieve through all this? (And why am I not surprised that Lavender tried to convince herself she was not just as eager to go through with it as he was?)

Severus has found two suitable partners for himself and Lucius for a pagan ritual intended to be cathartic. The premature seduction was not part of the plan, but it was a concession needed to convince this witch.

I do seem to recall something to the effect that the witches in question need to be married...so I gather that the two witches who will be participating are Ginny and Lavender. (Ooooh, Harry's not going to be at all pleased if and when he finds out about this...and I can't imagine that Lavender's husband, whoever he is, wiill be either!)

*snicker* Lavender never changes. ^_^

Now that you mention it, perhaps only the wizards are changing.

“I thought you were going to tell me I had a nice rack,” she said.“That would be safer,” he admitted.
Love that line!

Yes, we must be careful with the deadly emotions.
