I like to read, and I have this compulsion to write.

You really had me going for a while - I got through Helga's bit and was completely confused - but I figured, "well, she must have a point/plot/place to go" so I kept on - then was even more confused by Godric's bit ... not until Salazar came into the picture, did anything begin to make sense - but then again, I can be rather dim witted! Haha!Well written - even if I was completely confused through most of it - but I am left with so many questions! Especially regarding the Bloody Baron - who, in this story, I wonder if he's Kay or if he's not significant at all - and of course, I wonder why Salazar left - why he'd leave his wife/lover/paramour and if that had anything to do with Rowena's illness - and then of course, I wonder about Godric - why is he so vengeful toward the critters in the Forbidden Forest - he seems distressed about Rowena, but killing happless critters doesn't make a lot of sense to me - which causes me to wonder - is there moer to it than that - a werewolf perhaps, or some type of venomous critter - a snake, perhaps? So many questions!

If you look up the parts that deals with the Founders in the books you'll find that they aren't that many and what little there is, is sketchy. I like that. That gives me room to tell my own tale.As far as answers goes I can only offer you two: Kay is indeed the man who eventually becomes the Bloody Baron. He needed a proper name. In my story his name is Kay. As far as Helga, Godric, Salazar and Rowena goes: This is how I see them, so this is the way I imagine that they would react and try to cope in this situation.I'm afraid I can only answer the rest of your questions in very general terms: I like stories that leaves me with questions and make it possible for me to fill in blanks and spin my own tale within the tale. That is also the kind of stories I want to tell, the kind I want to write.

Ohhhhh... You've broken my heart a bit. Beautiful.

I wanted to write this story without it ending up being melodramatic. You give me hope that I managed.Thank you!

My heart just breaks each time I read the Rowena and Salazar scene--so poignant... I can just feel the violent death of Helena by the hands of Kay sublimely inferred, and the horrific cover up by Salazar... just wonderful angst. Love Helga's love and feeling for Rowena as well as Godric's possessive protectiveness and heroic retributive deeds, venting his frustration--wonderful, powerful story-telling! Keep them coming!

Thank you! I'm so happy you liked it. I tried to give the Founders some flesh and bone I suppose. They are so sketchy in canon. To me they are just so interesting and it amazes me that there's so few Founders stories around.

So very poignant and ... sad... I'm intrigued by Kay and Helena, and I'm sure there's much we're told about the Founders in canon, but I can't seem to remember much... But if their stories in canon were written as beautifully as this was, I'd have paid more attention.

I'm so glad you feel that way. I didn't think people would have much interest in a story like this one, so it makes so very happy that you liked it.In canon we don't get to know much about the Founders at all. They are only touched upon at different places. We only get to know what the Sorting Hat sings, and then we get the Bloody Baron (who is my Kay) and Helena story in the last book, but not much more. I would have liked to see much more of them in canon, but the up-side is that there are a lot of gaps where you can fit in a story ...Thank you for reviewing!
