Mrs Lugubrious is author of a little-known monograph entitled Sexual Deviancy Among the Banshees of Killarny. The paper was never accepted into the Wizarding journals of her day, possibly due to concerns surrounding her unorthodox research methods. Only one original copy is still in existence, and may be perused in the Hogwarts Library (Restricted Section).

A lovely little behind the scenes snap-shot, I would very muck like to know what Severus did to get that howler. 
LOL Poor Severus. But I like he was clever enough to do it away from everyone.

Not sure you can bribe an owl, but if one is going to bring you a Howler, you can at least be in a romote location when it happens.
