Reviews for Confrontation
She ended up with a MAN not a spoiled little BOY.
I love it. I do think that Hermione would be better of with someone like Viktor for the reasons stated. Ron really is an immature prat.
This sounds so much more plausible than Canon. Rowling clearly doesn't know how most good relationships start.

Thank you so much for seeing that. Viktor was always the perfect match for her. Ron was the type to never grow up.

Aw... Ron is forced to face his own faults. Glad Hermione ended up with her better man.

You KNEW I wouldn't have it any other way. Thanks.

Thank you, I am still working on just the roight story for you. It has gotten longer than I planned, but is just about finished. It will show up on GE later.

What I love best about this story is the fact that it uses canon to prove exactly why Viktor is far and away the better match for Hermione. You're right, at no time did Ron ever act like he wanted Hermione for a girlfriend. And jealousy does not in any way indicate love. Ron used Hermione repeatedly, stomped all over her feelings and clearly found nothing wrong with it. When you really think about it, it's rather odd to find an otherwise strong female writer like JK who would consider a relationship like Ron and Hermione's to be a remotely healthy or loving one. Even if she (reportedly) has a soft spot for redheads.

She has said in interviews that she patterned Ron and Hermione after her husband and herself. (The ultimate Mary Sue.) That's why I cannot understand why if she loves her husband, why would she make Ron such a schuck? Thanks for the review. Even if Viktor wasn't there a lot he got his point across. Hugs.

It boggles the mind, to be sure. I honestly cannot imagine a woman who would truly prefer a selfish, immature boy over a mature, loving man. I would pick a Viktor over a Ron in a hot second. In fact, I wouldn't even pay a Ron any mind at all.

That was worth staying up just a little longer for I love a bit of Ron bashing from time to time, and I love it when Victor gets to stand up for his Hermione.

Thanks, Dawn. You know this just had to be said. Everything I referenced in there was canon. Ron was an immature prat. Viktor cherished her from the first.

Oh, Ron. I will say that he would be the easiest person to dose with any sort of potion. He just grabs the nearest food or drink without any thought. :)
I know I shouldn't get so much pleasure from such blantant Ron bashing, but you've got to admit Viktor had a point - he was such a prat in school!
Thanks for showing us just how wrong the Hermione/Ron marriage is. You may have exagerated the situation a little bit, but the basic facts stand, Ron was hurtful to Hermione in school, and was not always a faithful friend to Harry and Hermione. Harry, Viktor, one of the other Weasley boys, yes--but not Ron. No, No, NO! (little rant over)

Ron's view of the world was always warped. He never saw anyone as a separate person, only in thier relation to him. That kind of egocentricity ruins friendships, relationships, and causes wars. I hate to say it but the story would have been much better if Ron had died rather than Fred. But Vikjtor cherished her from the beginning. That was true love.

Well, it serves him right!

Ron was never going to be the kind of wizards his father was, nor any of his brothers. He just didn't have the character or backbone. He would have made a third or fourth stooge just perfectly, though. Thanks for reviewing.
