I'm a 30-something mother of three who juggles work and full-time university with a bit of fanfiction writing for stress relief.
Reviews for Must Go On
great changes have happened at Hogwarts, the institution, but her pupils haven't fully caught up yet. Much to do, Harry!

Poor Harry really has to restrain himself as Mr. Morgan turns out to be the half-blood version of Draco's tendency to racism...

I would imagine a grandchild would wrap Lucius around her finger given the way Draco was raised according to canon. ^_^

Allie's definitely the little Malfoy princess by Lucius' standards, and one of the later chapters is a good treat when old Lucius shows just how far he's wrapped around her little finger. :)

Marvellous update, I am so glad to get an explanation about Allie, and totally trilled that both Draco and Lucius still loves her like the deligthful child she is. Absolutely brilliant. Harrys reaction to Allie being bullied were perfect

I always felt that Harry's anti-bully feelings would only grow stronger as he aged, especially if it was an older male picking on a small girl. Glad you liked the explanation and chapter.

Oh - I got it right !! Thought so - and it's so good to see that Lucius has learned a thing or two - and Draco quite a bit it seems !!

As broken as Lucius seemed at the end of the war, I figure he had to change somehow, and family did always seem important to him. With Draco, the lengths he went to save himself and his mother tell me that he'd be a very protective dad. Stories that show him being a poor father like early-Lucius always make me sad, because I don't see how he could go through his sixth and seventh year and retain even half of the prejudices he was raised with.

I have to say I'm impressed. I sort of figured I'd be the only one to include deaf characters in fanfiction even if logically I knew there had to be others. I'll be looking forward to reading more and seeing how everyone copes. (Also out of curiosity, how are they working around the fact that magic screws up electronics so that his hearing aids work in the magical world?)

This story was originally posted at ff.net, and after my review on your story regarding the poll, I realized I didn't devote enough attention to the technical details of the baby's hearing. Version one of the story truly concentrated more on the wider world around them. As I revise to post here, I shall remedy that. However, one of the scenes in Harry's classroom detailed that he was constantly having to recast spells on his electronics for Cultural Studies, and that's the idea I'd utilize for the hearing aids. I think to get any electronic - especially a complex one like this - would require constant maintenance on the magical workings. At least batteries should be relatively okay, not terribly different than a potion, unlike electricity use itself.I'm glad you like the fic so far. While I have some experience with deaf and blind friends, it makes me nervous I won't get the details correct. My own disability is mobility related and would be easier to write, but I wanted the challenge of something else for young Richard.

Makes sense. I think I used a similar solution with spells to protect electronics in my current story, but yeah, the more sensitive the electronic the more maintenance the spells would probably need. And if you have questions, feel free to ask me. If your friends aren't into fanfiction they miiight not understand. (Mine certainly wouldn't!)
