Hermione was always finding Viktor - first among the stacks of books in the library, then in the ancient and most noble house of Black, in her room at Shell Cottage, and again before the final battle. When she needs to see him the most, though, her heart begins to ache at the prospect of never seeing him again.

Oustandingly written. I was awed with the emotion you conveyed in the story.
Very interesting AU look at how things might have been. I've always had a soft spot for Viktor/Hermione

Thanks for reviewing; I had hoped that the story would convey Hermione and Viktor's emotions strongly. As to who was beneath the cape, it was one of Viktor's comrads who fell when fighting alongside him.

Thanks for the kind review. This is actually the 'happy' version of a similar story where poor Viktor is covered in his crimson cape and a new person has to help Hermione pick up the pieces.

They are both stories of mine, I only posted this one here, though.
I liked this tale. I do like Hermione & Viktor as a couple. he is far more suitable than Ron. :O)
