Very nicely done. At least she is realizing the possibility they are not meant to be rather than just keeping the status quo.

How very sad, but this could have really happened in their situation.  Very nicely done.

"What she wanted was not Ron, but the way Ron made her feel about herself."  Says it all really. :)

Sad but nicely done.  I was just mentioning to someone not long ago that the older I get, the more the little things bother me. I don't know why, maybe because I feel that they speak of thoughtlessness on another's part.

A very realistic look at how we start to question the people we choose to pair ourselves with - and perhaps that absolute dawning of understanding when we know, deep down, that what we're doing isn't going to work.

And this is how love dies - not with a shout, but with a whimper.  All too true for so many people...

Ouch - way too close to home for comfort. Great little story.

Not that it's wrong to love the way someone makes you feel about yourself, though; but first of all, you should really know how you want to feel about yourself; and next, it must be really them, not just a figment of your imagination, that makes you feel that way. Those are the snags. And committing a fundamental error (about anything) is a sure sign of not caring enough.
