Reviews for The Hiding Place
This is brilliant. Your lovely slow reveals: who is it who is hiding (although we think we know, we can't be completely sure at first!), what is Luna talking about, so beautifully reeled out one tiny detail at a time. And your take on who Luna is. Only she would find beauty in bruises, and link them to the people she loves. So much depth to the characters. I enjoyed the moments I spent reading your little fiction, you created a wonderful space for your readers to linger!
Truly the year from hell, for every one.
This was amazing writing! Of course, the subject matter was dark and unsettling, but the way you kept us in suspense over the identities of the characters at first really kept up the interest as we looked for clues. Well done!
Beautifully done. It took me a while to figure out what the colors were describing, but it's a perfect conversation between the two girls.

Thanks, Rose. I adore Luna and wish JKR would have shown us more from her. She sees things nobody else does and possesses a kind of melancholy beneath what everyone else sees as her absurdities.
You made him so exquisitely vulnerable and Luna so insightful. Love to see more, but I suspect it would end in sadness. Good job. :)

Thanks, Sunny. I've long wondered what he did with that letter from Lily during that last year... As for Luna, well, a girl who can see through Polyjuice and speak freely about what lies beyond the veil is surely someone who would see the truth about Severus and who has a completely different capacity for fear. I'm afraid you're right about the sadness, though... this one fits into a canon ending for Severus.
this was beatifully written

Even though I quessed it was Snape at the beginning, I enjoyed it very much.
Gah! This story is like so many exquisite little punches to the gut! Luna's bruises, Ginny's torn apart family, Snape's hopeless dream of love...
Amazing writing!
