Thanks. An encouraging review.
Goog grief...underneath that capable and competent exterior, Hermione really is quite a bundle of insecurity, isn't she? Then again, that's often true of people who feel a need for control and structure as much as canon Hermione does. (Simply trying to imagine Cormac's outfit makes my eys hurt, though...)

A good observation. Although unusual, this story attempts a continuation of canon.
Very interesting first chapter, a fresh and entertaining plot. I look forward to read more.

Thanks. Be forewarned, however, that I regard fan fiction as an experimental arena and anything may happen next.
Please tell me there's hope for Hermione yet!

In the story line to date, Hermione is doing as well as any one else.
Enjoying how and where these characters are gravitating--seems that nothing gets by Severus, he has his eyes wide open regarding Andromeda--if only Hermione's insecurity can be diffused--but there is some spark of hope that might help her deal with her doubts as well as pursue her interests, and maybe discover something further about herself in the process--if the speculation of Andy, Cormac, and Severus already being involved with each other doesn't hinder her journey.

Yes, Severus observes other people, but he seems clueless about Hermione. Good comment about Hermione being on a journey. Many might think that only Severus needs to redeem himself, but perhaps not.
