A Celtic heart residing in Denver in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains,I've been posting fictions for about a year now and have met some wonderful new friends, including an outstanding beta.
Professionally I'm the Operations Director of a modern dance ensemble, and personally the proud mother of two wonderful daughters.
Those of you who read my works know my passion for the beauty and power of language -- it is my goal to lure the reader into the story -- invoking powerful images, and waking the magic of the tale in their hearts. Much like a potion, I hope to bewitch and ensnare. I VERY MUCH appreicate reviews and critiques. Very helpful to see what my readers are thinking. Currently working on an epic piece and am so happy that so many of you are becoming immersed in it, and are also saying you like my shorter pieces as well. It's an honor to be in the company of some incredible writers - and readers as well !!

WOW! that was beautiful and touching, just like "In His Name". I've always thought there was a strong friendship between Severus and Minerva as well as Severus and Albus and Minerva and Albus. Many authors do touch on those relationships, but not always as wonderfully as you do! Thank you! tas-aka-

Three extraordinary people, indeed - I doubt we'll ever tire of delving into their stories. Thank you !!
Samhain - never heard of this tradition before. You introduced it to me in this beautiful story.I'm glad he finally made it.What in the world kept him so long.Shadowes are slow, dear me.Interesting thought to have one who gives you the hand and escorts you to the other side.Never thought of these two of having been close friends or anything. Seems I don't read close enough.Thank you for bringing these new aspects to me.Thanks for sharing.

If you believe our time of transition, from this Plain of Exsitence to that which lies beyond, allows us sufficient time for our "soul work" - our time of spiritual healing - then I imagine it took Severus more than a little while to allow himself the acceptance that his soul was never so badly torn that it could not be whole again. Once that acceptance finally came, then he was finally ready to see Minerva again. Minerva is a deeply wise woman - with her own healing to do - so I imagine she was willing to wait.
Wonderful. Love it, love it.

Many thanks !! A simple intent to insure that certain of the Old traditions are remembered and remain honored.
Oh, my goodness. This gave me chills, Moira. There is something about the old ways that still calls to me, and you write of it so beautifullyHugs, Beth

The Old Ways call to many of us - we're just beginning to listen in the midst of all of our technologies. Perhaps that's why Jo's stories resonate so well with many of us. Something deep in our ancestral memories from so very long ago... Thank you Beth for always being there and hugs right badkatcha !!

Um.... I meant to say backatcha??? Jeez, I should beta my own replies, huh?
Beautiful story.I love the stage-setting, and the sense you give of Minerva waiting patiently (being Minerva), both for the one ghost she really wants to see and for her own crossing of the Veil.Your use of color as a motif was spectacular and so fitting for the characters.

. Minerva's strength is so compelling - perhaps that's why we never tire of writing more about her. And Severus - there is always more to say about the man...
Beautifully written. Well done. Thank you for sharing.

My pleasure - I'm glad you found it worthy!
This was touching, you've told so much in only a few words. I must admit always like your portrayal of the friendship between Severus and Minerva, which reminds me of your other wonderful story In his name. I really hope your muse is friendly to you in weaving the rest of that magnificent tale.

I've always felt they understood and cared for one another very well - and can only imagine the terrible loss each felt in that final year of the War - and then after, she being still here and he departed. But, as you've said, in my AU, there is the chance to make things right - and the Muse is visiting more often, thank the gods.
That was Marvellous.

Thank you so much ! i suspect it was Severus that Minerva had hoped, for a very long time, would be the one to escort her into the next Great Adventure.
There can be a world of of meaning in silence.
There's that whisper of intimacy between them... so touching. Thanks

Somehow this review never reached me - I blame boggarts. Thank you so much - I'm glad this small word portrait pleased you. BTW, you have me so enthralled with your latest tale.... I am at your feet...

I have only myself to blame for that hiatus... it's back (and completely written, too, at least the first book)
