Reviews for It’s Not Easy
This is wonderful--love the chemistry and banter between Pansy and Cormac--I learned a lot on how a blunt smoothie like him makes his moves on a presumably unattainable witch. Lovely to see, as Cormac perceives, a very human and charming Pansy, along with her intelligence and acute slyness. Wonderful!

This should have been a farce, and it should not have worked, but by accident, the two discovered the human side of the other. Thanks for the review.
What a lovely pairing. Pansy is such a wonderfully sneaky Slytherin and has fallen for Cormac with his upfront spying techniques.

Thanks.Snark is the word. This is the pair for it. One cannot imagine Miss Granger emitting, "What are you on about? Are you trying to get in my pants?" or Professor Snape observing, "Nothing like the truth to put a witch off her stroke, eh, what?"

And I'm pleased no end you think it is a lovely pair.
This is clever. I don't always like to read unusual pairs, but I am glad I took a chance with this one. The first place he'd look, indeed. Ha! We never find out why she was out there, who she was meeting, or what the message was, but I was so invested in them hooking up, I forgot to care about those other things. :)

Thanks!! It was an attempt at madcap romance, and I'm glad you took a chance on this pair (who seemed appropriate for the story).
...huh. Wait, didn't Cormac graduate already?

Perhaps AU, although canon has problems with this too.
A Spy! story, and finally presenting a different Spy.Yes, we all can use a little different cast here.Fine idea. How would a student spy on another student.Gryffindore spies on Slytherin.Boy spies on girl.Arithmancy, secret messages, house and war rivalry, and these tho inbetween.I liked how you show how it cost her quite some effort to go round to him and let her down to explain to him Arithmancy. a propos. What is it with "It's not easy when its about as long as you are tall"? I need help here. Its funny when he reveals the truth to her so blunt. But it seems to have done the trick. In the end we learn that she really was the mesenger, so she must have accepted the "fight" or so.Brave girl. Brave both of them.Only the admitting that one fancies one another, that is the harder part. Life - real. life. Thanks for sharing!

What a great review. Thanks.Spoiler: "It's not easy when it's about as long as you are tall."It's a twist. Perhaps the last thing the prompter had in mind was that it refer to an Arithmancy derivation. My acquaintances (geeks) thought it the best line in the story.
Cormac and Pansy, somehow it works.

There seems to be a real attraction despite all the obstacles.
