Reviews for A Cat in a Pack of Toms
So Arthur's in the show, Xeno's 'selling tickets' (so to speak), and Molly's concerned? What I really want to know is the casting of the thing... can Fred play Rum Tum Tugger?
Response from nata (Author of A Cat in a Pack of Toms)
I'd imagined Arthur in a rocking chair on his porch, enjoying the rehersals, while Molly panicked about proprierty and Xeno "sold tickets" as you say. Casting? Alright, Fred may be Rum Tum Tugger. :DSorry for replying so late.
That was delightfully absurd, sort of like the Lovegoods.

Thank you. I tried to make it fun for the children, yet a bit exasperating for the parents, while keeping Britain interested. I'm glad you liked it.
Trust the Prophet to add their creative little twists... makes for a more sensational story and sells more papers. Wizarding Britain always did seem to have quite the insatiable appetite for scandal. Funny that it resulted in the kind of publicity that piles of galleons couldn't buy. Great job!

Thank you, Muse. I hope I managed to do the prompt justice. It had lots of potential, with possibilities stemming in a miriad of directions. A fantastic prompt.
Just like the Daily Prophet to manipulate things.
Response from nata (Author of A Cat in a Pack of Toms)
Indeed. They always do. Thank you for your review.
As amusing as the idea of the Weasleys performing Cats is, I have to say I loved the idea fo Molly seizing any excuse for a cuppa even more. Thank you, nata. It's lovely!

. To tell you a secret, I never saw Cats, but fell in love with an idea of a stage musical involving the youngsters of Ottery St. Catchpole.
That's so funny, nata. I originally thought Molly was overreacting just so she could have a cup of Xeno's excellent tea. It's all for a good cause, though.
Response from nata (Author of A Cat in a Pack of Toms)
That's a great idea! I didn't think of that. In my mind, seeing her children humiliated in public would set her off, but others would refuse to stop rehearsing because of attention from the press.
Bah ha ha... It just might work. I like that Xeno even got the competition to give them free publicity.
Response from nata (Author of A Cat in a Pack of Toms)
But the competition took his help much further than he expected. Still, it will work to their benefit. I'm happy you liked it. Thank you for letting me know.
Just loved it. It figures the Daily Po*n*t would manip stuff. They certainly did enough of that to Harry, et al. Great take on that prompt.

Thank you! Yes, I'd imagine an editor decided to swap a comparatively lyrical dancing move for something that would increase the sales more effectively.
LOL That's hilarious! The contrast in parenting styles is just delicious. And confession: I totally love Cats, and this provided terrifically fun images... *grins* Thanks for sharing!

Raising a single daughter would be very different than raising six boys to go with the daugther. I imagined Molly coming over to the Lovegoods to hide when things were getting too much at home.~nata, tickled pink from your review
I... am not quite sure what's going on.
Response from nata (Author of A Cat in a Pack of Toms)
Oh, my! The Weasleys and Luna are rehearsing for the musical Cats and Xenophilius sends the Daily Prophet pictures of the dancing couples. But the Prophet manipulates the photos so they seem more risqué. I editted the story to hopefully make it clearer. Is it?Thank you for letting me know.
A daring tale.
Response from nata (Author of A Cat in a Pack of Toms)
Not really. The Prophet use photo-manipulation to spice the picture up. Otherwise it was a normal dancing move.Thank you for your review.
Response from Amita (Reviewer)
The text does not even hint at photo-manipulation, which changes the nature of the story. Having Xeno or Molly mention this at the end would have added a nice twist.(Very good English, by the way.)
Response from nata (Author of A Cat in a Pack of Toms)
Hm. Both my beta and I consider the fifth and fourth paragraph from the end as description of the photo-manipulation. I'll have to think about how to make it clearer.
Response from nata (Author of A Cat in a Pack of Toms)
I editted the story to make the photo-manip clearer. I hope it fixed the issue. Thank you for letting me know.
Ha! What a cute and funny story. Loved it!
