Forty-something, married, Professional Colorist seeks intelligent, scrawny man with misunderstood past. Tattoos a plus, snarkiness a must.
My interests include: Eating, breathing, napping, swearing and chocolate; as well as long, romantic walks from the refrigerator to my computer.
Needed skills must include: Foot massage, adoration, feeding my kids for me and ironing my husband's work clothes, along with sneering, looming, staring at me with desire, and reading whatever I hand you into my ear in a sultry tone.

I'm enjoying this very much! Such an interesting twist on the story.
Response from Aurette (Author of Of Muggles and Magic)
Thank you! It gets very twisted, I assure you!
Oooh, I can't wait until the next chapter! So humiliating for Snape, that exchange with Lucius, as Malfoy not doubt calculated it to be.
Response from Aurette (Author of Of Muggles and Magic)
Absolutely. Snape's heartburn in only just beginning...
Lovely as always Aurette. On to Hogwarts!

Thank you! And we're off!

Wow! So much for me to read!! Thank you thank you thank you
Response from Aurette (Author of Of Muggles and Magic)
Hee hee! It's gonna take her a while to grow up...
Response from snitchette (Reviewer)
Good because it wouldn't do for him to lust after such a young girl. It may be regency era and girls were married young but still...
Response from Aurette (Author of Of Muggles and Magic)
'xactly...
Wonderful!! I love how he flips between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw. I also liked his musing at the end about Harry.
Response from Aurette (Author of Of Muggles and Magic)
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. It was my only chance to show Snape before everything started to roll down hill, and this is pretty much how I imagine he would have been for those years between.
Oh I can't wait to read more! Excellent!
Response from Aurette (Author of Of Muggles and Magic)
Thank you! More is coming!
ROFLMAO. I love it. Clap-addled boat-licker...I must add this to my vocabulary. Excellent story so far.

*please excuse insanely late review reply*I have used it twice! Both times on politicians. It really works then!
"Even her hair rebels against good society." snerk, it surely does."A man of science. A northern man of science, unless I am mistaken by your accent?" I can see this conversation will be going well. Especially after Hermione's last comment. ~grins~

*please excuse insanely late review reply*Not exactly lurve at first site... LOL!
And nothing has changed in the previous 180 years! *grin* Good chapter. I like the way Severus keeps vacillating between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw. ^_^
Response from Aurette (Author of Of Muggles and Magic)
LOL! Nope. No matter where you chuck them in time, he will still be surly, and she will still be a know-it-all! I hope you like how I dealt with the wizarding world in this one. It occured to me that with them living such long lives, things would be little different. It added an intriguing dimension.
This is fun! I will read more. I don't mind a bit of AU.
Response from Aurette (Author of Of Muggles and Magic)
*please excuse insanely late review reply*This one is definitely AU!
Even in another time period, with Hermione as such a young girl, they still have that wonderful relationship that makes me love them so. Their every interaction is enjoyable. I love how Snape can't commit to Gryffindor vs Ravenclaw. You've captured perfectly how Hermione must have felt upon finding she was a witch- the amazement and wonder, along with nervousness and relief. What a terrifying and wonderful thing for her to embark on. I cannot wait for the next chapter!

! More is on the way!
Ah, I love how he keeps jumping back and forth between assigning her (in his mind) to Ravenclaw or Gryffindor.
Response from Aurette (Author of Of Muggles and Magic)
We all know she could have gone both ways, lol. I thought it would be fun to watch Snape try and get a bead on her.
I absolutely adore the explanation you've given for her love of books. It makes such sense that I wonder I never thought of it or read it somewhere else. Bravo! I am loving this regency twist you've on the books and am eagerly awaiting the next update!
Response from Aurette (Author of Of Muggles and Magic)
Thank you! It seemed like a logical reason at the time...
Your Hermione is brilliant. Absolutely brilliant! I have a feeling this is going to be good. :)Livvy
Response from Aurette (Author of Of Muggles and Magic)
I do hope you like it! It's going to be a heck of a ride...
I love the first two chapters. I'm sure their next ineraction will be, let's say interesting, considering her choice of words.
Response from Aurette (Author of Of Muggles and Magic)
Absolutely!
I also read this at fanfic.com and enjoyed it very much even though Regency isn't really one of my favorite genres. Actually I'll read anything you write!
Response from Aurette (Author of Of Muggles and Magic)
lol! That's such a wonderful compliment. Thank you!
What a naughty miss granger swearing like a seasoned fishwife! for shame! excellent chapter.
Response from Aurette (Author of Of Muggles and Magic)
Thank you!
How frightening to send your child off to a school which you've never heard of, with a man you've only just met. And Hermione was so excited to go, to finally connect with someone who understands and maybe even knows how she is different, and then he goes and scares her. Of course, she stood her ground just fine. Go Hermione!
Response from Aurette (Author of Of Muggles and Magic)
Definitely Gryfindor!
Great story! Can't wait to read more!

More is on the way!
I almost didn't read this because of the time period, although I enjoy Jane Austen. But then I saw all of the reviews it was getting and decided to give it a try. Well, guess what - I'm hooked already.I agree with all of the others that Snape was made for this time period. And Hogwarts will save Hermione's sanity and sense of self (perhaps not at first, but eventually). And the way this chapter ended was priceless. I can hardly wait to see how this conversation continues. I bet she is the first student to ever say something like that to his face!
Response from Aurette (Author of Of Muggles and Magic)
I bet she is too! As for Hogwarts saving her sanity, well... YOu've read my stories before. You know to expect a plot twist.
So, in this universe, is she expected to keep the fact that she is a witch hidden from her parents?
Response from Aurette (Author of Of Muggles and Magic)
It's not expected, but Snape didn't handle things the way Minerva would have. I think her father got up his nose.Hermione will choose not to tell them for her own reasons that will be explained.
AAAahahahaha oh god that last part made me laugh out loud! Fantastic.
Response from Aurette (Author of Of Muggles and Magic)
yays!
Ha! Snape brought it all on himself, not that he would ever admit it. Can he deduct House points before she's even been Sorted? I think we're about to find out... I love the new setting and Hermione's background in this tale, and look forward to reading more!
Response from Aurette (Author of Of Muggles and Magic)
Thank you! More is coming!
Oh, I am just loving this!! Your characterization of Snape is spot on, and I adore young Hermione -- she reminds me of a sly, more rebellious Jane Eyre.
Response from Aurette (Author of Of Muggles and Magic)
Thank you! I'm so glad you like it!
