*sigh* Ferret, Ferret, Ferret! Whatever are we to do to you? *grin* I hope Hermione's husband is who I think it is. Having him administer the hex would be delicious. ^_^

There are subtle hints in the story. If you're thinking Snape, you're way off.
I hope I'm right as to the identity of Hermione's unnamed hubby. I particularly love his very appropriate punishment for a certain sneaky ferret trying to embellish on his role in the war.

She does seem to have that ability to turn whatever she touches into a disaster.

You're correct. Ron is not her husband. Neither is Snape. There are hints in the story.
Oi, that is going to smart. Will Hermione be selling the books with the ferret on covers? I think she is devious enough to do that.

Ooh... okay, going back and re-reading... so her hubby has an office, is good at transfiguring things, isn't Harry, Ron, or Neville... and had to be told about the ferret incident months after it happened. So he's someone Hermione would have met or reconnected with at the end of fourth year or later. He's obviously not Viktor (no accent), so that leaves... not Charlie (office job? no way)... Stan Shunpike!I'm missing something terribly obvious here, aren't I? May I ask for a hint?

I didn't expect it to be Draco. Yes, a ferret reminder wouldn't go amiss. Of course there is no way of knowing what Draco said, and what was embellished by Skeeter. Maybe could do a ferret/beetle combo scare.

And who better to do the Transfiguration work than Hermione's husband, Viktor. He already wasn't fond of Rita, so one bug wouldn't be missed and I'm sure there is a child somewhere that would love a white ferret familiar.
I was wondering if it was Draco. :) I also like the way you kept Hermione's husband vague. At first I thoguht Ron, but hten she said to call Ron so that allows me to add any pairing I wish as her hubby. :)
