I always feel extremely strange when I'm writing these things, having never really been all that good at talking about myself. In any case, here are the basics: I'm a 41-year-old Canadian who started reading the Harry Potter books about twenty years (!) ago just to see what all the fuss was about. I wrote my first fanfic about a year later, and I've been semi-active in the fandom ever since. I am very musical; I play the bagpipes, I've played the violin since I was about nine years old and I sing with two choirs (a community choir I've been singing with since 1997 and a church choir I've been singing with since late 2008). Writing is also one of my many obsessions, and (much to my relief) the monstrous case of writer's block which grabbed me for a couple of years seems to be gradually letting go. Even so, should I submit any chaptered fics here, it's reasonable to assume that the updates will be pretty far apart even if they're actually finished before I start posting. It's not intentional; I'm just, at times, a little forgetful.

this is so much fun. made me laugh. thank you! watching a half - competent brewer mixing in his foulest of moods.and not being gentle at the wrong moment can cost your life. I' ve always known this.Well, he MUST be Snapes student, he must have taken all the frustrating bad temper he was confronted with for so many years out on this one brewing scene. Or Snape in younger years, and we were watching the very moment where he learned to control himself. After this accident, he will.Don't know the show but it sounds like a lot of fun.And a source of inspiration, as it is.

I'm glad you enjoyed this little bit of madness. The show that inspired it is a web series posted on YouTube, so if you get the chance, check it out. And thanks for reviewing.
It's very well written, but noooo...can't say here in Pennsylvania that I've ever heard of the original show. It must be funny, though...
Response from Pennfana (Author of Regular! Ordinary! Scottish Potion Time!)
Look them up on YouTube and see for yourself. If you enjoyed this fic, you'll probably enjoy its inspiration.
Hahahahahahahahaha!
That is all.
Response from Pennfana (Author of Regular! Ordinary! Scottish Potion Time!)
Much appreciated.
Sounds like Gordon Ramsay minus the expletives! :D
Response from Pennfana (Author of Regular! Ordinary! Scottish Potion Time!)
Can't say I'm familiar with Gordon Ramsay, but I may have to look him up...

Where have you been all your life, woman? He's a Brit chef, one of whose TV shows is called The F-Word because he uses it so much, and he's one of the judges in Masterchef USA. :)
Response from Pennfana (Author of Regular! Ordinary! Scottish Potion Time!)
I've been in Canada pretty much all my life, and as not much TV watching goes on in my house, we don't have cable.
Pennfana's drabble. Is good for you. :D
Response from Pennfana (Author of Regular! Ordinary! Scottish Potion Time!)
Thanks, Vox.
PLAIT IT IF YOU WANT TO! I WON'T! THIS IS REGULAR!I'm going to be giggling over this for weeks.~wonders if Potter Puppet Pals ever read here for ideas~~also wonders if the Potioneer was somehow the half brother of both Snape and Lockhart~
Response from Pennfana (Author of Regular! Ordinary! Scottish Potion Time!)
That's a scary thought, Rose. But he certainly does seem to have some sort of combination of Snape's temper and Lockhart's incompetence, even if he isn't as self-absorbed as Lockhart...in any case, thank you for reviewing, and I'm glad you liked the fic.
Response from Rose of the West (Reviewer)
He seems to have a touch of each wizard, and certainly less Lockhart than Snape. If you give Snape some of Lockhart's lack of inhibition, I could see him slamming immaculately filled and labeled vials in front of someone and screaming, "POTIONS, WITCHES!"~still giggling~
I had to go watch an episode of Regular Ordinary Swedish Meal Time. And then another. And another. And another and another and another, just to get the general idea. Then back to rewatch a couple. Then posted them to some of my friends' Facebook pages. They were commented on by other friends, and I replied. And now I can say that I laughed out loud when I reread this! (And I actually understood what it was about this time!)Thanks for a good read, and an introduction to some great online humour!
Response from Pennfana (Author of Regular! Ordinary! Scottish Potion Time!)
You're very welcome on both counts! And thank you for reviewing.

"You should be gentle with these. But I won't!"
Author's Response: If I've been able to make you laugh, Robbi, I know I've done well. Thanks for the review.
Love it! lol What a great story to read at the end of a terrible day. Thank you for making me laugh.
Response from Pennfana (Author of Regular! Ordinary! Scottish Potion Time!)
I'm very glad that I was able to make you laugh, then! And thanks for reviewing.
I wish I knew the reference material. But it was a fun read.
Response from Pennfana (Author of Regular! Ordinary! Scottish Potion Time!)
It's easy enough to find; they're on YouTube. And I'm certainly glad you were able to enjoy the fic even without being familiar with its odd inspiration.
"PLAIT IT IF YOU WANT TO! I WON’T! THIS IS REGULAR!"Thanks for this! I haven't seen an episode of ROSMT for a while now. You make me want to go back and watch a few episodes! Uh, just because the recipes are great?
Response from Pennfana (Author of Regular! Ordinary! Scottish Potion Time!)
But of course it's because the recipes are so great. (Actually, I've always thought that the food usually turns out looking disturbingly good in spite of its ostensible mode of preparation.)
