Forty-something, married, Professional Colorist seeks intelligent, scrawny man with misunderstood past. Tattoos a plus, snarkiness a must.
My interests include: Eating, breathing, napping, swearing and chocolate; as well as long, romantic walks from the refrigerator to my computer.
Needed skills must include: Foot massage, adoration, feeding my kids for me and ironing my husband's work clothes, along with sneering, looming, staring at me with desire, and reading whatever I hand you into my ear in a sultry tone.

Chilling, now that we know how thr trunk was used.
How strange. I think the intensity of their coffee interest is peculiar. Well written, though.
Awesome way to tie into canon. And Jamican coffee is my fav too. :D

LOL! Actually, I'm not a coffee drinker! I just Googled "Best coffee" and scrolled through the reams of opinion. I'm glad I hit on yours. Thank you for your review!
This is perfection in a drabble. The writing is evocative, the short conversation perfectly portrayes the relastionship between the two characters, and you provide some wonderful colour around a minor canon detail. It is also great to see a character rarely featuring prominently in fanfiction take centre stage. Great use of the prompt, too! Bravo!

Thank you so much!
What an original concept. Of course that is where the trunk came from.“This little beauty is perfect and harmless as a lamb.”Sure, the trunk is harmless. It's the person who uses it that is trouble! Nice story.

Thank you so much!
This was one of those fics I finished and thought: I wish I'd written that.
Response from Aurette (Author of A Place to Hide)
LOL! I did the same for several of the others as well... How much fun it was to see which directions other people's minds went in!
Oh, to be a fly on the wall at Borgin and Burkes... the dynamics of this relationship are so clearly drawn in so few words - men on opposite sides of the law, who know each other well and somehow seem to like each other despite it all. And your language - "Move your hoof" and "legless worm" and the discussion of Harry at Hogwarts - is fabulous.

Thank you!
OMG - I love these two going at it! Really wonderful, feisty banter! Aww, poor Moody! Love the image of a fierce, weathered warrior needing a place to escape his Mum - great!
Response from Aurette (Author of A Place to Hide)
Thank you! I had to giggle at his Mum too.
Now we know where that magic chest came from.
Response from Aurette (Author of A Place to Hide)
It had to come from somewhere!
You've ascertained my vote. As soon as the voting page loads, I want to support you. The story has camaraderie, long-standing relationship that has a stronger foundation than the characters admit and a setting I haven't read yet. It incorporates a canon detail and makes everything believable for me.My search for a perfect response to the prompt is right here.
Response from Aurette (Author of A Place to Hide)
You have left me speechless. Thank you.
Hmm, that'll be useful. ;)

...for someone! *giggle*
Ooh, I wondered where Moody had got that trunk. It figures it'd be from Borgin and Burke's!
Response from Aurette (Author of A Place to Hide)
Of course!
I totally cracked up at 'dusting?' haha
Response from Aurette (Author of A Place to Hide)

Ooo... creepy! Excellent way to turn the prompt on its head.

What a well-drawn conversation between friends, and implausible friends at that - Moody and Burke? An inspired combination! The tone was just right, grit permeating the comfortable haze of old friendship, and the nod to the trunk just about made me spit out *my* morning coffee! What an excellent drabble.
