There's a lot of work to be done after Sirius? death. The Order isn't sure who owns Grimmauld Place so Remus sets about removing any incriminating evidence. He wasn't prepared for who showed up to assist him. One-shot.

I picked up the Harry Potter fandom around the time the first movie came out and began writing fanfic early 2005 after discovering the adult online community. I identify most closely with the Slytherins and you will see my taste in writing lends me to writing about Slytherins more often than not. In addition to fanfiction, I also make fanvids on the Harry Potter fandom. I'm a Perfect Imagination acredited beta and am willing to help authors. My main 'ship interests are Snape/OC (never really got into the SS/HG pairing) and LM/any female (with HG as a new favorite). I have dabbled in RL/OC and RL/NT and am okay with those pairings. I generally shy away from slash, just not my thing. For updates on my writing, check out my Live Journal

I loved Remus in the books and his parts are always so breif. You seem to have captured him, his strengths and his self doubt wonderfully. I like the fact that he isn't a weak kind of persosn, just resolved to a certain kind of life. You gave a wonderful portrail of him. On Tonks; I can say the same. She is alive and longing and her desire for a relationship with Remus is a good story. I enjoyed reading this - thank you.

This one was so very heartbreaking for me to read, but after the abrupt Tonks announcement that she's in love with Remus in HBP, I really had to go back and fill in some holes. I'm glad that you enjoyed this look at two minor characters and what happened to them. There is a bit of a sequel to this, "For Richer or For Poorer", that I recommend you check out.
Great story... you've really made them come to life!

Thanks. I really had a lot of fun doing this one trying to crawl into each of their heads. It's not easy trying to do that switch within a single fic. I'm glad you found it believable.
I don't read many Lupin / Tonks fics. I think out of all characters, they are my least favorite. I don't know why either. I guess because she's so clumsy. Well, that's not fair. I think it was the way she let herself go in HBP just because a man refused her. Lupin seems "weak" to me. Anyway, what I'm trying to say, though rambling, is that I really like how you have them here. Lupin doesn't seem weak here, simply trying to do the right thing. I even feel sorry for Tonks, but I am certain that they must have had a conversation just like this at some point.Good work.

Thanks, SW. Truthfully, I don't like the Tonks/Lupin pairing and this was my way of trying to make it ring a little more true, make more sense to me. Hopefully before the weekend, I will post my Deathday entry that is sort of a continuation of this fic, but in 3rd person, which I why I wasn't going to include it as a second chapter of this one.
Again, glad you enjoyed this one despite not liking the pairing.
