my catalyst into the world of hp fanfic was the ignominious death of severus snape by snakebite in dh. grrrrr. he deserved better, and i set off on a mission to find it! i appreciate and admire the vast and limitless creativity of all of the wonderful writers on this site and in this fandom.
accordingly, for me it's mostly about snape: ss/le, ss/hg, ss/rl are my favorite ships. i especially like happy endings for those who did not get them at the hands of jkr.

yes! i'm glad you see it that way, too. when i write something during their school days that seem to end sadly, i am always imagining future encounters that end more pleasantly for both of them. :D
This is a lovely story. It's like standing on the edge of a cliff... firmly grounded on one very tiny piece of land with absolutely everything laid out before you, snatching your breath and thrilling you. I really enjoyed it. Thank you

Oh YES! What if Remus and Sev got together so he becomes friends with the rest of the Gryffindors, never lusts after Lily and OMG!What a worl of possibilities! Would you consider furthering this one one day?

hee. you know i'll make it up to them. every now and then they have to go through a bit of angst, which makes the making it up to them all the sweeter. :D though i will tell you a little secret - when i write a story like this, in my head there's always a sequel that turns out happier, lol.
It would have been a far different world, if he had simply turned around. Or if Lupin had held on just a wee bit longer... Sort of sums up their entire lifes... How sad - to be so afraid of one's own heart.

thank you for this lovely, thoughtful review. i do see snape as afraid of his own heart. :( but of course, i spend an awful lot of my time writing stories that leave canon by the wayside in order to give them a different and happier ending together. :D
