This is a couple that I always thought would squick me, but the few folks who choose to write them always handle them with care and make me love them together. You are no exception. I say these two have a wonderful tradition and I wish them many more Hogmanay celebrations to come.

For me, the main obstacles to MM/SS are, of course, the age difference (even with witches/wizards, 35 years can't be ignored), Severus's history as a DE (which would get in the way of romance from Minerva's pov), and Minerva's history of apparently supporting the Marauders (which would get in the way of romance from Snape's pov). I find it fun to try to get around these problems, because in so many other respects, they have a lot in common. Thanks for commenting!
Lovely, sweet & tinged with sadness ...'the uncertain new' - what indeed is in store for the future for both of them Lovely work - thank you!

Thank you! "Tinged with sadness" -- that's how I see Snape's entire life. ~~Kelly
This is lovely. Beautifully written and hauntingly scottish :)

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Your depictions of Minerva and Severus are always such a comfort to read - there is a depth of feeling between them that is like a small, dark jewel, many facteted with its flame carefully shadowed. I am ecstatic to see you posting here!

Thank you, my friend! Coming from someone who writes such a fine Severus and Minerva herself, this is quite a compliment.
