Just re-read this for the Nth time. Still has the power to enthrall for the brief time it takes to read it. Very true to them both.

Thank you, my dear! This fic is the first Snape/McG I wrote (June of 2009); I'm so glad it still holds up.~~Kelly

I love your Severus/Minerva. You write their relationship with no pretense. I am pleased that he can find comfort in someone after all that he has to endure during the war. Very nice.

Thank you! Minerva is my very favorite character to pair with Severus; I'm always glad when others enjoy reading them.~~Kelly

Ah, but on the day he dies, he will be part of her mourning. Beautiful, dear.

Hust now, woman... that he still lives is a Secret most carefully Kept...
I think you've captured both Snape and McGonagall very well here. I'm not usually a MM/SS shipper, but this has a certain right feel to it, nonetheless. And the desperation in Snape is just ... I'd have said heartwrenching if he hadn't become so cold. "I don't offer pity for choices freely made." Is a wonderful McGonagall reply. And so fitting for Snape.

Thank you! I'm always really pleased when I can convince a reader who isn't a strong MM/SS shipper. (I admit, it's a pretty unlikely pairing, but I have fun with it). I appreciate the comment; glad you liked it.~~Kelly
