Reviews for Draco's Goodbye to Lucius
This was very sweet. Thanks for sharing! :)
Response from kyriaofdelphi (Author of Draco's Goodbye to Lucius)
It was a spur of the moment idea, and seemed appropriate. Thanks for reviewing.
Very good
How lovely to see a grown up, and setteled Draco. Lucios missed out on all that makes life worth living,to follow a madman.
That was lovely! But I wonder if Lucius would have turned himself around?
Response from kyriaofdelphi (Author of Draco's Goodbye to Lucius)
No, Lucius was locked into that mindset. Lucius had bought into the whole pure-blood thing. It added to his sense of superiority. Draco never quite saw it that way. Lucius fooled himself into believing Riddle was the way. Draco had seen that the Muggle children were as smart, as brave, and as tenacious as the pure-bloods. So, Lucius continued to delude himself until he died. Draco severed his ties with his father because he knew it was useless to try to make him see what was real and what was purely rhetoric. Thanks for reading & reviewing.
Oh, how very sad. But also happy. Draco may not see himself as brave, but it takes some nerve to face your demons and then move on and be happy. And I have no doubt that he will be happy now. Nice job.

Thanks for reading & reviewing. Draco has never been one of my favourites until I started writing with a friend. She opened my eyes to the infinite possibilties Draco offers. This seemed so much like what Draco WOULD do. Catharsis takes many forms, Draco chose to wait until he was finally comfortable with his new life to say goodbye to his old life.
It's terrible for him to say that Lucius wouldn't have liked his grandson. I'm almost glad he's dead so he won't ruin Draco's life.

The mere fact that Draco says that Thuban is a gentle soul, leaving out the implied ,as I am, says more about Draco's relationship with Lucius than any longer speech could have. Thanks for reading & reviewing.
Really touching making peace - that Draco can appreciate & cherish the qualities in his children that his father would be incapable of -- so happy that Draco has some true happiness, love and can experience family life in such a fruitful and fulfilling way - with our Luna! Thank you!
Response from kyriaofdelphi (Author of Draco's Goodbye to Lucius)
He had moved beyond what Luciuas wanted for him and into his own dreams and expectations. He had finally broken the pattern and found both himself and love. Thanks for reading & reviewing.
Lovely story, thank you so much for sharing.
Response from kyriaofdelphi (Author of Draco's Goodbye to Lucius)
This was such an obvious thing for Draco to do. He had finally found the happiness and the family he had always desired, so it was time to say goodbye to Lucius and the things Lucius thought he should want. Thanks for reading & reviewing.
Oh, Kyria, this is beautiful. So very beautiful. You captured the dark side of Lucius's spirit very well, and yet, you gave it a positively happy ending with having Luna and their children wait for him. Thank you so very much!
Response from kyriaofdelphi (Author of Draco's Goodbye to Lucius)
I thought you might like a happier, less frantic Draco. This so glad you like it. Happy Birthday again.
Cute, Kyria. :)

I'm not supposed to feel sorry for Lucius now, am I? A lovely little piece. Thanks for sharing. Hope 2011 started well for you. /M

The point was to feel glad for Draco, that he had moved beyond his father's limitations and found himself and love. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
A lot packed into a short memorial.
Response from kyriaofdelphi (Author of Draco's Goodbye to Lucius)
Draco had a lot to say to his father. A lot of things that Lucius would probably never have listened to if he was alive. Draco needed catharsis. To do that, he had to confront Lucius, or his own fears of his father. He finally did it and was free. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
AW... What a lovely story about how one can rise above his family legacies.
Response from kyriaofdelphi (Author of Draco's Goodbye to Lucius)
I said something about writing a Draco drabble and this is what emerged. I have no clue where it came from, except that I think Draco might really have done this. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
Lovely. It is breath-taking in its simplicity but so complex as well.
Response from kyriaofdelphi (Author of Draco's Goodbye to Lucius)
I couldn't have done this without my wonderful writing partner who has made me see Draco as a person, not a caricature. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
I lilke that Draco ended up with Luna. I'm sure she appreciates having Harry and Hermione as neighbors.
Response from kyriaofdelphi (Author of Draco's Goodbye to Lucius)
They always seemed so perfect for each other. He needed someone who wouldn't judge him, merely accept him for all his faults and virtues. Thank you for adminning this and reviewing.
