Thank you! I really enjoyed crafting this. It may have been the start of my dark fiction obsession. I am glad you liked it and really appreciate you taking the time to review.
Wow, I didn't see that coming. I expected it wasn't one of the usual suspects since the name was withheld, but I never would have guessed who she was with. I really liked this, and now you have me wondering what would have happened if they had chosen to be a couple in public. How different would their paths have become, or would it have made any differece in the end? Or did they keep things a secret, but remain together even after he was married? So many questions. So many reasons to write more. I'm just sayin.

The beauty of fiction is the never-ending "what if?" Every moment, every choice, opens up thousands of possible stories, depending on the next moment, next choice. It's why I write. I don't always know what's going to happen, but I know it will be interesting.Thank you so much for reading. I am glad you liked the story. :)
You got me! I would never have suspected Frank Longbottom in a gazillion years! Well done, Melenka!Beth

Thank you! It was an odd pairing, but I felt it explained why Bellatrix did not kill the Longbottoms outright when she had the chance.
Wicked! Wasn't who I thought it would be, but it explains why she crucio'd the Longbottoms so severely. I would love to see a follow up story spanning here to there from you. Talk about food for thought, very well done Melenka!
Response from Melenka (Author of From Whence Comes Rue)
Thank you! I always wondered why she didn't kill them outright, so when the prompt came along, I made up my own reason. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Whoa. That was completely brilliant, and wonderfully written. I was trying to figure out the entire time who our lovers were, and that last line was so unbelievably poignant. Very well done!

She went a different direction indeed. You actually make me believe Bella had a heart and feelings at one time. Loved this, thank you.
Response from Melenka (Author of From Whence Comes Rue)
I believe she may have, but expectation and experience (as well as the Black family curse) set her on a terribly dark path. Perhaps she found it suited her better (I do hope I made her sufficiently unstable...) or perhaps it became her way of dealing with the things she learned. Either way, she ended up unapologetically evil. I just don't believe one can start that way.Thank you so much for reading. I'm glad you liked it.
