I love to write. A dreamer, a creator and filled with wonder, imagination and life. Sometimes I get lost in the other worlds I've read and in some I create. It's all good, I’m in good company.
“Imagination does not become great until human beings, given the courage and the strength, use it to create.”― Maria Montessori
“Our imagination flies -- we are its shadow on the earth.”― Vladimir Nabokov
“Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions.”― Albert Einstein
“Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were, but without it we go nowhere.” ― Carl Sagan

This is from the website "page 394 Alan Rickman"! If only we all could have been there. SIGH...

Yep, (I think) It was Azrael's email that prompted this story, totally her, and all I did was tweak it a bit. I so appreciate that she gave me the go to do so... Thank you for reading and for the review.
Hi Bea and Happy New Year. This was ringing a few bells with me not in that I met him per se but I did see him on stage at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin last November in John Gabriel Borkman. Had I not had my long suffering but very understanding husband with me I would probably have had a post-performance drink/chat in the theatre bar and even hung around the stage door. But alas poor Ian had tolerated enough to the point that he "would rather have been walking around Ashton (under-Lyne) market with a nail in his shoe!" Charming! But the Guinness was calling him. Anyway for two hours of my life I was gobsmacked as he was within spitting distance of me. The theatre is very intimate and we had good seats. I mean he looked right at me I swear. I didn't wash my ears out for weeks as his beautiful dulcet tones were still gently caressing every part of my....ahem, sorry. Zoning out a bit there. But you get my drift. Anyway he's in Brooklyn just now in the same play. Wonder if I can persuade my husband to take me there. Thanks for bringing back the memories with this delicious little story. Best wishes, Love Ali xxxx.

Oh had I been you I'd have begged my hubby for the once-in-a-life-time rare-occasioned indulgence to have a Guinny there, at the theater! Just to enjoy hearing the man talk. I'm glad you got to in the end. Lucky girl. Thank you so much for sharing this with me. Hug and Happy New Year to you.

Actually Bea something I forgot to tell you (and it is relevant to your story in a way) was that as I was going to Dublin to see the delectable Mr R my youngest daughter (doing her Masters in publishing in Edinburgh) was serving Jason Isaacs ( the incredibly sexy Lucius Malfoy) coffee at a well known coffee house there in the city. He came in for a couple of weeks very early in the morning on some sort of coffee run as he collected five or more each day. And he was an absolutely delightful and charming man. It did take my daughter's gay co-worker to point him out though. Ali xxxxx.
This was really cute, and I can see it happening in real life too! Of course, even better would be to wake up and be Hermione Granger. LOL Happy New Year, dear.

It was a real life moment, Azrael told it to us. The man was Alan Rickman=Severus Snape in my version, but yes, it was a real life moment I turned into fanfiction. I'm glad that you liked it. Happy New Year to you too.
It's really sweet of Severus to sign his autograph with such good grace. And I'm going to be looking for the real story behind this one (must have missed it).

As I said in the notes, it's Azrael's story from a real life that I made into fanfic -- she gets the credit for the story, not me. Here is the link for you to the real story. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Potter_Place/message/36025 So I simply did a Alan Rickman=Severus Snape, actions and all. Thank you for reading and for the review, I appreciate it.

You're so welcome and thank you for the link.
I really love stories where Snape survives and (at least eventually) gets the recognition he deserves. I liked this. I think you could have gone a little farther with the teenage voice, but it definitely came through. I loved the list of accomplishments and the Chocolate Frog card. I hope Hermione hasn't learned legilimency. ;) Thanks for writing!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of One Lucky Shop Girl)
I dumped all the fangirl invented recognition I could remember in this one, just for fun. Yes, he deserves that and more. I haven't written this style before, but I'm glad it worked. I didn't want to take the teen-voice too far though, in case it got to be too much. Even if she did, I don't think Hermione would have minded, she'd have been amused, I think. Thank you for the review.
Great job translating the experience into a story, and thank you for sharing!

You are most welcome.
I remember hearing about this. I love how you turned reallife into fiction. Good Job. I would have loved to be the shopgirl when Alan Rickman and his partner came in to shop.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of One Lucky Shop Girl)
Yes, it was just too good to pass up, and Az loved it, which is what counted. I'd have loved to have been in the shop too. Thank you for reading and for the review.

Thank you very much. I tried to keep as much of the real life situation as possible. Az loved it, and I'm glad that you did too.
