Providing Severus with a form of closure during his final moments was something I've always wanted to attempt. This is actually one of those rare times where I purposely tried to remain canon. Thank you for your kind words. It means alot coming from a fellow Snapette. :)

Lily's inability to extend forgiveness to one of her longest, dearest friends was a character flaw I had a difficult time accepting. This little story allows both Severus and Lily a form of closure. Thank you for the review. :)

While I love the stories of Snape and his relationships with other women, stories of him finding happiness in life this story is more fitting of his character. He would never have loved anyone else, even if given the chance. He was devoted to the point of obsession with Lily. Perhaps if he had not lost her to his own mistakes it may have been different but this is Rowling's Snape. Nice Job!

I have never been able to understand how Lily could cut Severus off, all because of one word spoken in a moment of great stress. Not only did she cut Severus off, she then took up with the very person who had tortured her friend. Sorry I seem to have started to rant
. Your story gives Severus peace and comfort, that is all that counts.
